queastion, can the pin up be male, as you said male and female may not embrace one another in a passionate manner, but nothing about entering a male character? sorry, just asking, doubt ill enter, cos of the certain artists on here, that seem to snap up every blooming contest going!
In the words of DarkStarRising:
"Sadness within sadness,
Darkness within darkness,
a shadow of a form lays upon the floor,
looking at herself
looking at her own shadows of loneliness"
The first message I found on it was some time back and it was said that it had to have Koz's hair.

Sorry for the delay guys,as some of you know my mother died recently and was out most of the day handling bills and related issues, then had to finish up a contest and a challenge on Dreamslayer.Yes the contest requires you to use Kozaburos hair Deecee which is all free and thus doesn't violate any laws or such in regards to requiring its usage:)Sorry about that,an oversite that I wasn't specifically told about but was told somone had questions.
Yes,the characters in your images may be males DSR,as I understand that Koz has male morphs for his hair...but I figure it might be easier to use the female hair for most people.Just make sure to include in your comments on the image that you used the male hair morphs...heck,as much as we need good male hair this might actually be an informative way of providing it.
Also,I see another sponsor has come on board as Pandygirl is offering up her beautiful Miss M http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=706843 to the top winner along with another choice...she is also giving a store item of choice to the other two winners as well.
So more for the winners...thanks to all the sponsors so far as this is your contest as well and you are deserving of praise-Thank You

If the end goal of learning is genius...why are most geniuses failures at learning?
Flybynight...the reason I left that a bit vague is that the pinup changed over the decades from the beginning of the 1900's (when they still wore bloomers lol) to the 1960's.The Vargas girls would indeed be a perfect example of a distinctive style here...but there were other styles for glamour even back during the day of the flapper from the roaring 20's.Raphael Kirchner is another and there are many others including Betty Page in regards to the models themselves. The latter may be most recognised in regards to sexiness from this time period by the present day artist Olivia.I'll see if I can find some images and ask permission to post them if there are future questions about examples:)

It was a reply to Deecey. There's no hair named Deecee. Just a typo :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I didn't prohibit anyone from entering and am including the link to the original thread which has become a bit buried by now.But I think the rules are as simple as I could make them....
and sorry about the typo, thought it was understood by reading who asked the questions I answered that it was a member (sorry for the mispell DeeCey).
The reason why I even stipulated any rules governing the type of pics is that to me a portrait image as defined by most here has only one character-since most seem to think that way I thought I'd clarify that before anyone asked.
No more than three characters because most pinups rarely have more than one character and certainly no more than three.
But just have fun guys...you're honoring a great guy with your works and who knows,he may repay the favor with something new for us sometime soon-even if he doesn't,look at what he's already given,I think thats more than worthy of a tribute:)

Replicant...I didn't specify a 3d render format so long as you follow the simple guidelines and use Koz's hair. Before anyone asks..."postwork wasn't prohibited nor is it required" as I think many images can actually look better without it just as some look better with it:)

Ok guys its July and Classic Pinups is officially underway.I hope to see a lot of entrys and hope that you guys appreciate everything Kozaburo has done for this community as much as I do.For those who don't know here's a recap and summary of prizes... "There will be three images allowed for each member...(1)one is a Classic Pinup portrait image to represent glamour,(2)the next must include a prop(a car, rocket,a broom in case of a witch lol,etc...)or maybe even an animal and (3)the third must be pure sexiness and sensuality. You may use more than one character in your images except in the portrait image...but you may not use more than three human characters in the other two image. They may be male or female but they may not embrace one another in a passionate manner. The characters may be nude but not lude (no violating rosity tos)" Koz has male morphs for his hair on site I believe, but you are only required to use the female hair if that makes it easier.. Prizes; The top winner here gets a $25.00 gc from Genny Lorene from Chrislenn and AB Any one item from Dalinese's store Any one item from ernyokas 1's store Second to top winner gets Lorene by Chrislenn and AB Any one item from Chrislenns store Any one item from lululee's store Third to top winner gets Lorene by Chrislenn and AB All entrants will recieve a special free character being developed by Chrislenn just for this contest so everyone's a winner by entering. Others may still submit items to support this contest by posting here...but its time we honored this man and hope you guys all feel the same. Contest will run the entire month of July. Only images with the title Classic Pinups will be considered and state :Portrait,:Fun or :Sexy after the title since we allow three but only one per catagory. If you only enter in one catagory you still have as much a chance as those who enter three...its for fun as well as participation:) Entrys with "Classic Pinups Comp" as the title will also be accepted.
