What do you guys think? Too much? Playing around with soft color saturation techniques while waiting on a phone call. -=>Donald

I like it. Seems like the colors are starting to glow a bit. TMG

Looks normal on my monitor. ;-) I think the over-saturation emphasizes the mood in this one. I like it. And I think the model would also like it.

Sort of... just around the face mostly. But it all depends what this is for.Other than that its a beaut.

Honestly? I think it is a tad overdone. I think the saturation could come down a bit. Not much but this almost makes my eyes hurt. Over saturation is cool but this is jut a little over. Maybe bring it down 5-10%? that is a guess though not seeing the original. If you could bring down her skin but keep the umbrella saturated it may work for me though. Just my 2 cents. And like pennies, virtually useless. Magick Michael

Her skin has a yellow tone to it, but that is probably from the umber! I like the colors in this Donald, unless of course the umber doesnt have yellow in it... ;) giggles

looks great on my monitor, too...and btw; we like it because is summer, after all >>> now it's time for that swamp of colours on the streets...:) what is too much is the tone of her skin!

In my personal preference, it is too much.
It is just my subjective opinion.

Awesome shot! The saturation.... a bit too much for my tastes.

Thanks everybody! I appreciate the feedback. It wasn't really meant for anything. Just trying techniques for saturation and softening. Pushed the saturation way up beyond anything I've done before. Just an FYI, I think it's a bit much for me too. But I also think that we are also running a bit into the whole monitor calibration thing. I use a hardware monitor calibrator, so I think I'm pretty close to what it really looks like. I have the feeling some are seeing it a bit more subdued on their monitors than others. And some are seeing it a bit more harsh. More than anything, this kind of response helps me to see and hopefully understand how people see and react to different image treatments. -=>Donald

See ... it's stuff like this. Instead of just processing an image and moving on, I process it and the next thing you know I'm playing with toning, edging, etc. Oh well...what can you do? Gotta go where the muse takes you. :) -=>Donald

Here's the original more to my taste ... at least, I think so since sunshine is flooding into my room. A little too bright in here to say it's perfect, but the color values and levels look right (numerically). :) -=>Donald
