Subject: Textures on V3 vs photoshop

how do you add textures to your v3 in the material room? and how would you add textures to your v3 in photoshop if you can transfer her out of poser and into there? can you do this? thx Raven xx

Because you mention the face room in another thread, I guess you're using Poser 5. There are two ways in Poser5 to add a texture: the first is by creating a material with the shaders and assigning that to the part of the object you chose, the other way is to use images. These are in fact called templates and are based on UV coordinates. Each object is built-up out of many points that have a location in (virtual) 3D sphere, and that form the cornerpoints (vertices) of polygons. And an uv map is a flat projection of these polygons. The uv maps for V3 are available at Daz at the bottom of the page for V3. When you open this uv maps (there are separate for the head, the body etc)in Photoshop, you will see that you have shapes that look like , say, he face. You can see the eyes, moyth etc. You can paint on these or paste photographs of real skin (or bark, or sand,...) on them. (you must flatten the file). This ou can open in Poser 5's material node system. How to do this you can read in may excellent tutorials.
