Here is the first szenery i created with vue... The stall in from wiremongers site, the Poser figure is the RPG Warrior from John Malis. The House is a vmrl model I got from somewhere the net (a historical site). What do you all think?

Bantha, I think it looks pretty good. :) Actually, for some reason it reminds me of the game, Diablo, but that might be because I was just playing it last night. :) I especially like the lighting, but I would vary the materials on the mountain some, and add some more rock, and the middle-ground could use a few more trees. When you finish it, please make sure that we get to see it! Cheers, Mike

heyas; very nice! some snow on the mountain tops would look good, i think. :) how did you get a vrml model into vue? (does vue import those? never noticed that ;) )

Vue does not import them, but the 3d-Explorer converts them to OBJ with all textures intact. I think if I knew this wonderfull piece of software before paying for 3d-Win 4.0 I would not have bought it. AAhh wrong, I need 3D-Win for converting to MegaPOV. I found the modell while following the links from the Photo Modeler Homepage with which it was made. Therde are other intresting modells too, maybe they will show up here too. But I have to retexture some part of it. I want the chimney (?) to look like stone, not like modern metal. And the street sign to Niezet has to go too....

oh! cool! now i wish i knew some cool vrml stuff to get ;) can you edit the textures? i mean, do they come out of the vrml file as images you can work on?

You are wrong... but if you have that model with 20 maps I would like to see it.... My model has just seven Texmaps. And the model IS very simple. VMRL models have to fit into the memory of the 3D Accelerator graphic card.....
