Subject: Raydream & Mac G4

I've just bought a Mac G4 with dual processors, and Raydream will NOT run on it. Even the installer refused to cooperate, so I had to install RD on another computer and move it to my new one. And when I open it up, it goes nuts and crashes. Is there something about the G4, or the dual processors, that RD doesn't like?

I'm not sure, but I believe there is a update for RayDream to work with OS 9. I can check later to see if I have it.

You do need to run the updater on RDS5.0 Before Luanching it in order for it to work. There is a problem with a couple of RDS extensions that need to be locked. The mp's should work with RDS but not Carrara (read that from someone from Apple on the e-groups list).

Yes, but WHERE is the doggone thing? Raydream support seems to have vanished along with the program!

I believe the Metacreations site is gone for good. There was an FTP address, but then again I'm not sure if it is still around. I might have the updater , and will look later. I'll let you know if I find it.
