Hi all, I am currently in the process of creating a set of faces (*.fc2) for David, and, when finished, will offer them up in the Freestuff area. This will be my very first product posted, free or otherwise, to the R'osity community. The attached image gives you a sneak peek at what is coming (...and more). I'm aiming to be diverse and to make sure that the original David is well disguised. I have one problem though, - the faces don't take effect unless I load all of David's head morphs first. Yet I have seen other Face files that apply correctly even though I haven't loaded up David's head morphs. So what do I need to do ? An alternative maybe is to create INJ/REM files from them .... is it preferable to do that ? If so, why ? Thanks in advance, and I'll try and get this freestuff up sometime this week. regards, Andrew

Also, just to clarify that hair and textures will not be included......

The faces look great. I think the INJ/REM file would be best because then you wouldn't have morphs that are not used in the figure which would help rendertime, I believe

I'm pretty sure the face files that also inject the needed morphs are just the ReadScript lines for injecting the morphs followed by the setting of the morph channels themselves. Find a face file that does both and open it up in a text editor. It's not really the complex looking. I haven't tried it but it looks like the output from INJection Pose Builder stuffed at the top, and then all the morph channels. I'm not sure there is a way to build one like this all merged together though. But you could make the injection file and the face file, and copy the lines with a text editor. The file I'm looking at is one of the face files from A_'s expression package sold here in the store, it adds the V3 morphs and sets the expression. I'm sure you can find other examples (maybe even free ones). But you may not be able to avoid having to use a text editor. -Matt

Yeah, very good! They don't look like David at all. I think you have to go into the fc2 file using txt editor and take out all the dials that are at zero. I've been experimenting with David inj/rem too. Using word pad and a generic M3 inj/rem pz2. It's hard (for me) to decypher the }{starts and stops. If you do a search here in the forum you should come up with a solution. IPB has S3 blocked out and no David update yet. 8^(

The faces look great - nice job making very different characters. I think Injections is the way to go. Check out Injection Magic - it works great, and maybe a David definition will be available soon, but if not, the program allows you to make your own - its tedious work but not difficult once you understand the process, and its something you only have to do once.

I don't know anything about that but I had to tell you I love your "Norm" face... he looks so much like our RenLesque (Prime Minister of Quec from 1976 to... then he died and we haven't had a good Prime Minister ever since. France

Hi all, Thanks for your responses. I've worked out how to do it via IPB. There was one unwanted side effect in that the face ended up with a vertical furrow down the middle of the nose. Is this something to do with the fact that there is no update for David yet ? .... I noticed that there was a "Figures" option in the Options menu in IPB, and that this defaulted to V3. What do I need to do ? thanks, Andrew
