Tarin Company stock is moving up on the big board. In spite of only a small price decline it is entering the most actively traded list. After market trades seem to be influencing the price drop but what could be responsible for the volume?

A question has arisen whether the chairman actually wrote his own piece. To assuage these critics the following link is provided. http://www.owatonnaartscenter.org/DehnInChurchBlowup.htm

98bones has fleshed out the #1 so effectively that I have finally become invested in this story. Tallpindo's description of the facilities and research was just on the edge of manic enough to make me want to avoid this at all costs. Very nice work y'all!

tjames ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 8:13 AM

Dale manic? I thought his tour was very "professional" Thank you for your part we're still running up to the crimescene...still parts being written in. Everyone wants to add more characters now we've got michelle and cee-cee. Hmmmm. Wonder what we could do with them as Mary Springers already got the axe.

Charmz ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 8:39 AM

Dale's writing was professional, the scenario he depicted was manic. Pardon my early morning lack of brain cells. Can't have coffee so it has to wake up on it's own.

Dale Tarin stood under the portrait of Julius Tarin. Julius had been portrayed before the advent of the downsized corporation. He was sumptuous with a waistcoat and a watch chain across his portly belly. Then without a word he slipped out the secret entrance to the garage below. Lets move he shouted to his chauffeur who was polishing a fender on the car. The vroom of a straight eight signaled that the 30s was no threat to this corporation. With supercharging the depression was for the universe. Where to, Mr. Chairman? the chauffeur asked over his shoulder. Dale leaned back in the seat and looked stern. The chauffeur floored the pedal and 16 cylinders leaped to obey. Soon they were on a desert freeway traveling at 225 mph. They passed tractor trailers and cars. The car was starting to feel its head. Remind me to invest in maglev when we get back. Dale smiled as the driver began to cruise in earnest. Todays cars were such drags. The bullet train would get there first. Electrification even with blackouts and tunnel fires was leading the pack. I recommended we build a 300mph lane on Woodward a while back. After all one lane at 300mph can carry three times as many cars as ten lanes at 10 mph. It was those darn arsenal folks. They insisted on presenting everything to the gun. What sort of payload does a bullet have? So it travels at 1400fps and can kill but was does it carry of benefit to anyone? An explosive? Like artillery? OK it gets there and then fragments and were back to bullets. What sort of payload does a fragment have? Missing limbs, coffins full of the dead? Who can eat or even enjoy in leisure that stuff?

As they cruised there was a broadcast that a posse of over 1000 members had organized to track a missing heiress. Just then the car dropped into a dip and was temporarily airborne. The super cooled water vapor in the dip was torn by the streamlined turbulence then as it warmed from the energy of passage it began to form droplets. Thirty seconds later the posse forward edge hit the fog bank and began to runoff the road and crash into one another as some slowed and some sped up some turned and others went straight. The scream of ripping metal and squeal of brakes and rubber on concrete was mixed with the pall of smoke and fire that began to consume the wrecked bodies in the junk. Dale looked at the monitor and asked the driver a question. He leaned forward and wrote something on the keypad of his cell phone. Then the image on the monitor began to dissolve. Soon the fog was gone and the evidence of the crash was gone. Here! Dale yelled. The driver saw only a break in some barbed wire fence. The powerful carbon-carbon multiplate rotors slowed the car from 225 to les than 85 in a surge that al most made the airbags deploy. Then the driver was judging the rollover. He let the car skid a bit knowing there would be no forgiveness from the Whump! A spear of a diagonal brace struck the car and they were past. Now the road was only a lane and they bottomed and bounced at 10mph. Up on the freeway it was quiet. Thanks for that erase of the digital. Dale patted the driver on the shoulder. We almost Volkswagonned em! At the farm house there was a Bell-Augusta 609 waiting. In the farm house were the ladies to become surrogates.

An unsubstantiated report has come in and just been translated. the source is unknown but the implications are preposterous!! TEXT-Tarin had decided to discredit #1 fully. He purchased a specially configured AIBO from SONY and began to train it as an attack dog. His plan was to humiliate #1 by having AIBO hump his leg instead of snarling and lunging at him. He knew that this in addition to establishing a joint checking account and safety deposit box for #1 and the AIBO robot dog would cast unfathomable aspersions on any relations that #1 might try to cultivate. Tarins belief system allowed for not only survival but also keeping score. How much territory, the desirability of housing, mates the whole system of scoring was what he wanted to show was divorced from the concept of survival. Sure Magna was now gone and the source had to be a lesser one but the score could be increased by bonding with AIBO who was to be given all the latest and greatest tricks in running up a score. The only score #1 could cite was his prison cell. The new clones were to be given much more forgiving AIBOs with genuine sympathies and partnership qualities. #1 could build whatever house of cards he wished with the attack dog AIBO. In addition to its legal problems associated with the death of Magna this broader compass would now take away whatever status might have conveyed to #1 from being first and having historic significance. He was to be eclipsed in the glorification of his mechanical partner. The new clones would be attached to a mechanical bridge to value. Their own worth would become intangible.

A reporter eatting at a lage downtown restaurant found this typewritten note clipped to the top of his menu. expecting the special of the day he found -actual Defibrilating Magna had succeeded. He was alive but not a recognizable human. The fall down stairs in a wheelchair had left him paralyzed in the thorax and unable to breath without a ventilator. A heart lung machine was keeping him warm for a possible transplant if the #1 clone could be found. Meanwhile a derelict found dead on the streets of Calcutta had been flown to Tarin Industries and placed in one of the permanent cryogenic stores as if to be revived. The label on the vat showed that it was Magna. Dale had ordered the immediate release of the defective clones to a factor and sale as surplus. This was a business and the maximum dollar value was needed as quickly as possible.

Results of an interview with a teenager in San Francisco. I asked how he knew Magna was still alive after the fall. You know that guy George Plimpton that used to let 6 NFL linemen hit him and then write about it or put on a bulletproff vest and take 100 rounds of Ingrahm from close range then take pen and paper? This guy Magna jumped out of a twin Otter and with a 40 knot tailwind landed on the downhill portion of the cable car tracks on Nob Hill. And he stuck!! So to fall one flight of stairs after already being ready to fall 800 feet down a paved hill dragged by silk...face first...do you get the message??!!
