A 3D Original Model from PoserWorks

We are hoping to release this model on Friday (07-16-04), but don't quote me on that. Instead, please look for our official release on the PoserWorks Home Page, (link attached) and also here on the Renderosity Product Showcase Forum. This is a HUGE Space Habitat, but in classic iw43d form, has extremely efficient mesh so that you needn't be concerned about this model crashing Poser. :)

I will provide all technical stats and various image views upon release. Although some of you may recall seeing a preview of this model here on Renderosity some time ago, here it is again (just in case you missed it.) Its coming REAL SOON, so please stay tuned. Until then

Cheers!
Pam

Realistically, what do you think we should price this model at? I appreciate all input and thank all who take the time to comment. XO! Pam

Pam - I think that until you provide more previews (especially close-up interior pics), as well some details on what all is included (components and such), it'll be kinda hit-and-miss for people to "realistically" guesstimate a fair price. Perhaps some sample renders by non-Poserworks artists would also help to sell this model. I seem to remember Ronstuff doing some nice renders of the luxury power boat, a while back... Just my $.02! - Ray

I agree we need more renders before giving a estimated price. :O)

GEEZ !!!! Does Tom ever rest ? I can't keep up ! This would go very well with your SS3 Magellan ! Great job ! (As for the price, I'm like Ray and SndCastie, it depends on what's in it, it's hard to see from one render) Good work guys !

Your stuff is incredible, and consistently excellent.

I have little doubt that the inside of this model will match the outside for looks.

But, yes.....some more renders would be nice.

Thanks!

*(Can you imagine looking out of those overhead windows, and seeing nothing but empty space, stars, and perhaps a planet or two?

Talk about making one feel small and insignificant in the scheme of things.........)*

Thanks for your comments, Guys!

Okay, here goes. Time and again over the past year, Tom and I have been tossing around ideas for this Tycho model. Im happy to report that AT LEAST we have come to decision to bring our ideas to fruition. We will also be open to anyones ideas if they care to give us their input. You may be taken aback by the sheer magnitude of this undertaking, but we feel it will offer SO MUCH flexibility with so many camera set-ups, in SO MANY environments throughout the model, that it will be worth it. The beauty is that you were not selling the entire thing at one time. Were trying to make the models affordable to our Poser Users. Ill explain more in my post. Perhaps people wont be in LOVE with our idea as much as we are, But nothing ventured, bla bla bla. ;) Besides, weve had a REAL GOOD time coming up with the concepts, so at least weve got that going for us. ; )

Ill be posting an overview with some technical information about the multi-faceted (and multi-phase) project for this model, as well as providing images to give you a better idea of just what this model entails, scale, etc. Given all the stuff I will be posting, I will be putting up a new thread, so please look for it. It will be entitled, If you thought the SS3 Magellan was BIG, you might want check this out

We think its quite a unique concept, but well let you be the judge of that.

Cheers!
Pam

Yep! I got the same heads up today, but I had been checking the site, because I've been waiting eagerly for this, and noticed it was up for sale yesterday. Tried to buy it but the download link didn't work. Pam, as usual, is excellent on the customer service ... promises you something, then delivers it tenfold. It was pulled at the last minute so Tom could add to it. I've seen the previews that are probably going to be posted over this weekend, if it's finished, and this station is awesome. Remember that feeling you got when the Star Destroyer in Star Wars took forever to travel across the screen? You're going to have it again.
