Subject: How do I put a model in the Marketplace?

In complete detail, how do I put a model in the Marketplace? I am not a merchant yet.

Click on the MY HOMEPAGE item in the Member Options pulldown menu. At the top of your homepage, there should be an administration heading with a bunch of links -- one of these should be "Upload Store Item."

I have followed this link. It led to "Merchant Contact Information", which included an option to be paid by Check or by Penpal. If "check" means "cheque", please note that I am in England and therefore outside the USA banking area. What is Penpal? I thought that there was an option for the money to be paid to my credit card number. What happened to that?

Shouldn't matter that you're outside the USA -- your bank should still be able to convert a USD cheque to pounds. I'm in Canada, so I'm closer to the US than you, but still outside their banking area and I've never had problems with USD cheques, from Renderosity or anywhere else.

Paypal is the credit card thing you're probably thinking of. You sign up for an account with your credit card and your purchase $ are placed in that account. You can then withdraw the money. I've heard quite a few horror stories about Paypal "losing" $ or freezing accounts without explanation, though. Plus, you might want to go over their terms pretty closely. I'm Canadian and last time I checked, for non-US accounts, there was a monthly fee, a high per-transaction fee AND a % fee to withdraw your $.

"I thought that there was an option for the money to be paid to my credit card number. What happened to that?" Hi Anthony, Thats never been a payment option at Renderosity. Orca addressed your other questions very well. If you have any other questions let me know. Clint

And the Paypal fees only affects you if you want to be able to RECIEVE creditcard payments on your account. A normal, base PayPal account is free, also outside the US. And you do not even need a creditcard. You won't be able to be a VERIFIED member without a creditcard, and you have a sending limit (currently at 700 I think) as well as a monthly transfer-to-bankaccount limit, but.. once your limit is reached, just open up a new PayPal account. That's what I've been doing for a long time now :o) (You WILL need a new e-mail adress each time, which is why a domain with *@... is cool ;o)
