Subject: Sara 1 or 2 UV maps?

This is obviously just so the g.i.r.l has no competition and it is not a good idea.

The template given with sara 2 and sara 2 itsself are still available at daz (link), you would be better getting it soon if you want it because it probably wont be there for long... Message edited on: 07/18/2004 12:00

I think that map is for the sara 1 figure, if it is, then you could just make your own map with uvmapper.

You're right, xantor. The maps provided at DAZ are for Sara1. It seems the maps for Sara2 was never offered anywhere. No wonder we're having problems with her face near the eyes and the mouth when we create a texture for her! I've opened Sara2 object in UVMapper. It is a mess. The eyes are on top of the rest of the map. I don't know enough about UVMapper to be able to get a decent map for Sara2 out of this. France

France, In poser load sara2 and export the head only as a wavefront object. Load that object into uvmapper to get your map.

This wasn`t my idea, someone else said it in a previous thread. It does work, I tested it with uvmapper classic and uvmapper pro. You can make an eye map the same way, just export both the eyes and load them into uvmapper.

Thanks xantor. I finally found the way to get the maps. I loaded Sara2 object in UVMapper, selected by group, delete the rest and saved the map. Reloaded, selected by group, etc. Until I got the 3 maps: body, head, eyes. There is no mention of a skullcap in UVMapper for Sara2: not in the groups, not in the materials. France

What do you mean by skullcap? for poser 5?

Well there is a map for a skullcap in Sara1 templates. I don't know more about this, sorry. France

Maybe it is just the top of the head?

Maybe, I don't know. But if it is, it would not fit Sara2 perfectly because there is a change in the head template. For Sara1, if you look around the head part on the head template, it is smooth. For Sara2, it is like diamond cut. France
