Mmmmmmmmh ... sometimes you don't know what it is ... ?? Is it the summer hole (don't know if I can translate this word by word (lol)) is it the bad summer (well, here in German THIS summer is just awfull) ? Maybe it is too expensive ? Well, 8.50 Dollar is a lot for 275 poses ... (giggle) I can't really say what it is why the new pose set isn't sold that much ... maybe it's time to focus on other things ? Maybe you can tell me what's wrong with it ? However - if you want to have a look at it ...: Poses-Database: http://www.schlabber.org/dam/dam.html or product: http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=29737

I don't think 8.50 is too much for 275 poses. In fact, I think it's a good deal.

Maybe there just isn't a market for dance poses right now?

Plus, it's only been up a couple days. Hmm... it could also be because it's not showing up on the "New Products" pages. I didn't recognize it so I went to New Procucts and checked back 7 pages. It's not there.

It is a great deal. I will buy it. But payday isn't here yet. One day to go!

Egon - I think sales over the summer are always down. I think your price is very reasonable and I think you should just hang in there.

No, it's not anywhere near too much! I bought them the minute they came out and they are really really terrific!

$8.50 is an excellent price for the product.

However, I would say that dance poses are a specialized item -- and that they are likely to appeal to a limited segment of the market.

However, for those individuals that want/enjoy dance poses: these are great.

While I saw your "going to pending" notice and pictures in this forum, I never saw a "now available" post until now. I also had been checking "what's new" and never saw it!!!

So to answer your question - NO, this isn't too much, both in terms of the quantity and quality that you're known for!

I'll add 1 more thing..there are several ice skating poses sets & dance sets already out there....to me a lot of these poses look like duplicates of what's aleady available and I already own.

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Thu, 22 July 2004 at 8:38 PM

Well, for my part, I wait till I can (hopefully) get a coupon from R'City AND some money. Not sure I have added it to my wishlist but in case I haven't, I WILL be buying it. Your poses are great! It takes a hell of a lot of work to put all that together and I appreciate it! $8.50?!?!? It's a great price! I see people selling 20 or 30 poses for $5 and $6. In addition to THAT price, there's the incredible FREE tutorial you gave away that talked so much about posing. I'd buy your products just to help offset that work alone!

It might also be a problem with imagination. Some people might not consider this package, thinking that they don't do dancing pictures... without realizing that such poses are also useful for flying fairies, or astronauts freefalling, or mermaids, or anything where grace and balance are desirable. Superheroes appear to effortlessly lift the damsel they are rescuing... isn't that what ballet stars do?

Dude, I just need to look at your thumbs above and I can actually learn some dancing steps. Awesome.

Hi all ... thank you for your replies :o) It might there are really several reasons why this hasn't been sold so much until now ... I (personally) hope it would sale a bit more because this is some-kind of donation product - if you might have read in the preview pages of the webpage-link. You helped me a lot to find this and that explanation :) Jackson + HeavyRay: Just checked it - it's there ... but you're right - you have to go back a lot pages. It seems a lot of products have been released the last days. philebus and jade nyc: Yes - right ... it is middle in the month right now (giggle) and it is Summer :) - finally also here in Germany Larry F: Thanks - also in the name of all the people joining the meeting this pose-set was made for - hope you like the poses ? dlk30341: Well - yes, some might be looking the same - but I don't think that much ... of course I don't know all the amount of poses available but as I used some "sources" (mostly I'm working from images) that are really unique I think it is not nearly the half of the amount (well - every pose was made from a basic pose - I don't copy any pose-set). And even if you take this half or a quarter of the amount - around 100 poses for 8.50 is still a good deal (well, not for my expectations but compared to the general amount of poses inside a package). ChuckEvans: Or you can say it allready soo (as I tried to explain to dlk30341 before :o). Some words to the tutorial - the new tutorial is ongoing - it is an even bigger one as the last one (I expect around 200 pages fully packed with a lot of informations I think really worth reading). It is again a free project. This was not an easy decission to make this for (finally) nothing. I think you're somehow right. Selling poses might be the only justification to put that immense amount of time in a tutorial. Planing a tutorial more then a year ahead is a hard thing to do but I had this idea for the new tutorial in my head for a long time. The reason why you hadn't heard that much about it is quiete simple: I'm writing this first in German - so naturally I'm discussing the content mostly with German people. Later on it will be translated :). hauksdottir: The lack of imagination is a point of this new tutorial :). I'm focussing a lot on this part - but it's not so easy to learn creativity and imagination :o) There are ways - of course - but you really have to want to. Most people don't want to. Square-thinking is something dinosauristic nowadays - also one more reason to get this new tutorial done (some day - it is planed to be released in English around May next year ... well - I mentioned it is a big one - or not ;) ?) wusamah: PLeaaaaaase - don't don everything shown above ... I'm not responsible for your hospitally costs then ;)

Any item which is designed for.....and marketed as.....a "specialized" item will draw its attention primarily from those individuals who are interested in that specialization. In this case: dancing.

Outside of that -- it's a roll of the dice.

"General" poses will appeal to a "general" group of customers.

Just like "horror" poses will appeal to persons primarily interested in horror -- "action" to "action" -- "magic" to "magic" -- etc.

It stands to reason.

No matter what the category of the poses -- "Schlabber" is a guarantee of quality.

I love your fantasy poses... keep them coming... but would just never have use for dance poses. It's a great price... but with gas prices up here in the stats and me spending $90 or more a week in gas... my Poser budget has gone down dramatically.

I too was waiting for a post here that they were up. Fantastic body motion poses!
