For soem reason, no matter what I do, I can not seem to get ANY shadows when rendering a scene in Poser 4. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for any help, Tom

Make sure you have the 'Render Shadows' option checked in your render options

some quick checks: & Which version of Poser are you using btw?? Are you actually rendering (not just previewing)? Are you rendering with Cast Shadodws on? (render dialog) Do your lights have Cast Shadows turned on? (light Prefs) Do your objects and figures have Cast Shadows on? (obj & fig Prefs) Do you have something in front of the light's shadowcam to cast a shadow, and something in line with that to receive the cast shadow? (select light's shadowcam views to confirm)

With Nance, lots can go wrong. Sometimes the light is "dead", too...Especially if it was saved a few times.

If this is happening with spotlights, it may be that the distance from the light to the object/figure you want the shadow for is tooo far away ...just my two cents jen
