Subject: Bump map for a face... same as the texture map but inverted?

Hey all. I'm slogging at it trying to do a self-model, and I've nearly got the face done. I was just wondering, would a good bump map for the face be the same as the facial texture map but made greyscale and then invert the shades? White is high, black is low, right? Thanks

It never hurts to experiment; you'll know soon enough what works and what doesn't ;-)

I find that just greyscale works best for bump maps, or just use the texture itself and let poser do the rest. I tend only to inver for transmaps.
