Subject: Unable to select polygons, only vertices...

I have taken the P4 male shirt, turned it into an .obj prop, removed the caps at the neck, cuffs, and waist. When I select the collar, using the group tool (so that I can make the collar a constrained group) the polygons of the collar won't turn red. Only the vertices do. Anybody know why?

Poser is not a 3d modeling program. Why do you need to select the polygons?

Poser does have the capability of selecting polygons for the purpose of grouping them. That's what I'm trying to do, group the polygons to define them as a constrained group.

No, when you use the grouping tool in the cloth room, it changes to selecting vertices. The cloth dynamics work on vertices, and these are what you need to constrain.

pookah69, if I am not mistaken, that is the way it works in P5 in the cloth room. I get little red dots when I edit the groups. Normally, in Poser, when using the grouping tool, the polgons faces turn red. Not so it seems in the CR. Also, just in case you are talkig about something else, like overlapped or backfaced polygons, etc., have you tried changing to wire frame veiw mode and grabbing the area with the grouping tool. I know from experience using the grouping tool to group body parts, sometimes I can not get at certain polygons in texture or smooth face display mode, but I can if I switch to outline or wireframe, etc.

Thanks for the explanation.
