Subject: Going Through a Poser Phase 2.

I noticed lately I have asked a lot of questions, then to the point when people are helping me, I get crouchy. I am trying to figure out, why am I behaving like this? I am not like this at all. Just curious and feels like, all is coming to me at once for poser, like their is no tomorrow. When I was in Poser4-Pro. All I did was understand the concepts of what file does what and how to render. Now, that I am in P5, I no longer have P4-Pro. The concepts are no different from P4. Now, I am reading like crazy trying to find answers. I feel I have past Poser Phase #1. Now, into Poser Phase #2. Does anyone feel like this, and/or been through this? If anyone has been offended in my past post or saying "Who is this guy..with all the questions?". I really like to appologize. I am really Sorry. Now that the weather has cooled down, I was able to get a good night sleep and noticing my behavior. I guess July is a crazy month...hehe..

Poser addiction is something you will have to come to terms with. I have been trying hard myself. I'm down to 5 renders a day with the odd morphing tutorial on my bad days. Keep at it... it all makes sense in the end. NeilP

Trick is...to offer as much info up front as possible because there are always a 100 variables, a 100 techniques and a 100 personal styles in dealing with probs on a pc. Google searches on error messages....etc, my bane. Responses are a gift. And there are some great minds around here. As to the rest...you are hooked, buddy! Welcome to the world of home film and still directors (without the overhead).

Another possibility is that the artist in you is having to fight the "techie" in you. That's a part of learning new software. Artists have to do something that may be rather uncomfortable for a brief period - focus on learning the software instead of focusing on expressing the art. That can be quite frustrating at times.

Before they made me they broke the mold!

That is so true Bobasaur. Phase #1 'The beginning': Understanding files, Importing/Exporting Obj, 3DS and so on, Using MATs, inj, Rem, Bump files, Selecting lights, Material Room (Or in Poser 4 > Materials), morphing (Posing), texturing, colors UVmapping, hair room. Phase #2 'More in Depth': Animations (loops, keyframes, graphs), lights (How to make em, point at, number values, animate), grouping (Setup Room), Rendering techniques (Well..understanding more of it)...etc..etc..etc.. Not everyone goes this route. Although this is what I am going through. Everyone learns differently.

hmm..I'm still in phase one, almost 2 years after I got 4..;) as my recent efforts can attest, there's a lot of basic stuff I still don't know, but Naysay and I get together and compare notes sometimes..;) and there's also no such thing as a stupid question..;)

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit
