After many hours I have been able to figure the basics of UV Mapper, the free version. Here is a sample of what I have done with it.

Plane, dock, misc. junk on dock in Rhino. Sky 'Cold Sun' borrowed off the Internet years ago. Registration numbers on wing and fuselage as well as red trim by UV Mapper. Render by Bryce.

Wow, you have done quite a good job!! Congratulations!! Don't forget that you can do the panel lines with a bump map. You are doing so well with the free version of UV Mapper. Maybe you are ready for UV Mapper Pro. It is quite a step up. I hope that as your are painting textures that you are keeping everything on it's own layer and saving in the native format of your painting app to keep the layers intact. This makes changing stuff lots easier. I hope to see more renders of this and perhaps you will do an animation of it flying up a river gorge.
