Subject: HELP...trouble in importing obj files that used to work before

Hello sorry,i'm kind of new here, but i used to import obj files from poser 4 with no problems. Even if the textures were not in the same directory, i was prompted to find them and it was ok. Today, i tried to import an object and it didn't work. So i tried with several obj. that i have already used before, and i had the same probleme. Bryce says : " a file error has occured (i/o, bad media) i tried to delete some bryce prefs, that are automatically recreated, but it still doesnt work. i wish i won't have to reinstall it again... Did anybody had the same problem? do you know haw to handle it..? Thank you so much for answering me... have a nice day.. C. by the way, I work on windows 98 se. Please, anyone can help...?

did you upgrade recently? some are downgrades in disguise. I'm on a mac using b4.01 and poser4.0, both metatools products. unfortunately I've got obj files that will open in bryce3 and not 4. I've got 2 different poser supposed upgrades that make even more objs invalid.

I recently upgraded using the 4.01 (?) patch from Corel and was unable to import ANYTHING afterwards. Had to re-install Bryce 4.

Listening, Corel??

Yeah, Corel bought Metacreations and released an upgrade that, among other things, put their (Corel's) logo on the splash screen. This stopped me from importing files for some reason and I had to reinstall Bryce 4.

Here's the Metatools 4.01 updater. Phooey on Corel. http://lightning.prohosting.com/~maccastl/401.html PC users please report- this is supposed to be cross-platform. I know it works on a Mac.
