Ooooh...yes....how cute.....a Week it has been in the House...uh huh....check everyones Neck for wee Puncture Marks....these can be Rabid.....but, on the upside, You can use the Bat Droppings as Guano for the Garden. Once You find one in the House...there are bound to be more....hard to get rid of...I Lived with an old Bat once...I should know....however....You are the Heroine...but...check the Necks. Muuah!
Lice!!?? blechhhh!!! Oh and Tedz.... I think you may be right.... we heard scuffling up there last night, think they may be trying to get in through the soffett(sp?) in any case there are droppings up there.... sigh Just what I need!

Well this morning my daughter is yelling "Mommy there's a bat in my window!" The bedrooms are on the second floor. So here he is this cute little guy hanging upside down on the curtains... I had to scoop him in the curtains with a towel and we took the bat, curtain rod and all down to the back yard....
I put him on the adirondack chair and it was then that I realized I should get some pictures.... most of them came out terrible due to the low light, and then I realized I should be using flash...
He was so cute!! The fur on his back was soft, but he didn't like me petting him too much he gave me a dirty look and bared his teeth a couple of times...
He was shaking and getting really wet from the drizzly rain, I didn't know what to do for him so I ran in the garage and got a small cardboard box and a towel, ripped out a little door for him. I was going to let him stay in there until it got dark so he could stay dry...
Apparently he didn't want me to pick him up, he flew on to the ground and under the pine brush..... it was so weird to see him walking on the ground using his wings like legs...
I left him there and when I went back out to check on him again he was gone... I hope he's ok....
Still can't figure out how he got onto the second floor... all I can think is that he came down one of the AC vents...
