I am sad to announce that deemarie is stepping down from the RIM due to health-related reasons. It was a very hard decision for her. She has done an outstanding job transitioning the print magazine to a digital one. She has built a very professional magazine team. She can never be replaced. dialyn has taken over the duties of Editor in Chief of the RIM web site. GonWaki has taken over the duties of Editor in Chief of the Renderosity Interactive Magazine. thanks tammy

I think just about everyone on The RIM team is heart broken right now. DeeMarie has been the guiding light of the project for a long time, and we will miss her terribly. Fortunately, she has been gracious enough to continue to be a presence as she is able...and I think she knows that anytime she is strong enough to return, I will be the first to welcome her back. For all those who have been encouraged by DeeMarie, given a helping hand, had their spirits lifted by her, please send her your kindest thoughts. She is one of the most genuinely sweet people around...also one of the bravest. And no one, no one will ever be able to take her place.

=( We'll all miss Dee. She was definitely the heart of the magazine! And I hope she knows that she's welcome there anytime!

We'll definately miss her a lot, but we look forward to the visits she'll make. I'm so thankful for the opprotunities she's helped present me with.

Please give Dee-Marie a big HUG from me and my best wishes to thank her for the wonderful job she has been doing. I wish her improved health very soon so she can hop back on board. With dialyn, GonWaki, midrael and the rest of the RIM team I know the magazine is in good hands still.

Dear Rosity Community,

It has been a pure pleasure to be a part of the Renderosity community: not only as a Rosity member, but also as part of the Mod Squad [and later the privilege of being a Renderosity Admin], and of course the greatest honor of all, being appointed Editor in Chief of the Renderosity Interactive Magazine. A very special Thank You goes out to everyone in the Renderosity community for letting me into your lives and allowing me to dangle my toes in your creative talent pool :]

As many of you may [or may not] know, in February of this year, I suffered a minor stroke, which left me, for a short period of time, with limited use of my left side and really bad memory lapses [the worst was leaving a bathtub running for over 2 hours and not having any recollection of turning the water on until I walked out into a flooded hallway].

Of course there is never good-timing for a stroke, but with getting our first edition of the RIMs Digital Magazine published, the Magazines Web Site launched, creating the layout for the MarketPlace Catalog, and working as a Rosity Admin the timing truly could not have been worse!

Upon my release from the hospital, and with the encouragement from the Admins, Mods, Coords, and the remarkable Magazine Team, I was able to slip back into the flow with amazing ease. Just knowing that deadlines had to be made, and that the Rosity Community needed me, helped greatly in my recovery.

Unfortunately over the past six months, through a series of several MRIs, it was discovered that I am still experiencing additional minor Brain Attacks [referred to as TIAs], coupled with occasional stroke-like symptoms.

To add to all of this, I also suffer from a degenerative bone disease [discovered several years ago after I was involved in a Mountain Bike accident], which makes it very painful to sit at the computer for any length of time.

Thus, after lengthy discussions with the doctors [and many tears], it was a mutual decision between the doctors and myself that I regretfully resign my post as Rosity Admin, and as Editor in Chief of the Renderosity Interactive Magazine.

Although I shall continue to be a part of the Rosity Community, I will miss working behind the scenes with the amazing Renderosity Team!

Thank you again everyone, for making my life a better place to live!

With much love,
Dee-Marie [aka ladynimue]

To the Admin Team,

From the moment I returned from the hospital, Tammy, Tim and all of the Admin team, provided unconditional trust and faith in me.

They believed in me, even at times, when I must admit, that I did not believe in my abilities to carry on my duties as a Rosity Admin.

Tammy, a special thank you for always being there with an abundance of patience and encouraging words!

Stacey, thank you for being my bestest friend!

I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate the Admin teams support, but more importantly the long lasting friendships made.

It was an honor to be invited into the Admin-circle, and to view firsthand the inner workings that govern the daily ins-and-outs of making the Renderosity site such an outstanding community to be a part of.

Thank you so much for all that each of you do each minute of the day!

Sincerely,
Dee-Marie

To the Mods and Coords,

As a former Mod I know how dedicated and hardworking all the Moderators and Coordinators are. The Mod and Coord Team spend endless hours, often sacrificing their own personal time, to devote to making the Rosity community a fun, entertaining, and educational place to visit! It takes a very special person belong to the Rosity Team, and you are all the cream of the crop!

Thank you all for sharing your time and talent with the Renderosity community! I am forever in awe of each team members unconditional devotion and dedication to the Rosity site and the Rosity members!

I personally know how many hours you spend making sure your individual forums are both fun and informative. Your love of art and artists makes Rosity a place I am proud to call my home away from home!

A special thanks to the ModFather [Spike] You are the heartbeat of the Mod Squad, you are always there to give sound advice and at times a sympathetic ear when working with members and with your team. It has been a great honor to work along side you over the past 2 years, and I shall miss you greatly!

My heart remains with you all!
Huge hugs to all the Mods and Coords
Dee-Marie

To the Magazine Team,

Stepping down as the RIMs Editor in Chief was the hardest decision that I have ever made! I have lived, dreamed, and breathed the magazine for the past 2 years [Coming on the magazine team as its Managing Editor and later as Editor in Chief].

Oh, how I shall miss the thrill of it all!

As you all know, the Renderosity Magazine has gone through many changes over the past 3 years, and I am very proud to say that it keeps getting better with each Issue.

Working on the magazine, and being a part of the Magazine Team, has been my greatest accomplishments to date and I have had some really great accomplishments ;]

From the first day I became one with the magazine team, I have been constantly amazed at the dedication, devotion, and energy of each magazine team member, both past and present, and each team member holds a special place in my heart and in my fondest memories!

Unless you actually live it, there is no way to know the long hours and hard work that goes on behind the scenes to put a magazine together, let alone a Magazine and a Magazine Community.

We all mourned the passing of the printed magazine, yet, I am extremely proud of the high quality of the digital version, and of the RIMs professional web site community.

Although I am resigning my position of Editor in Chief and will take on the role as magazine consultant [and occasional contributor] I know that the magazine will continue to flourish in the hands of dialyn as Editor in Chief of the RIMs web site and GonWaki as Editor in Chief of the Digital Magazine, and the incredible magazine team!

A special thank you goes out to audre for her inspiration and for allowing me to keep her dream alive, and, to kzarah, for his endless hours of creative layout. You two gave us the foundation to build upon!

Also, a very special thank you goes out to dialyn and GonWaki for showing such grace, dignity and understanding upon learning of my departure!

To all the members of the magazine team you are the most amazing people in the world, and it has been such an honor to work along side each and every one of you!

With deepest respect and admiration
And tons of love,
Dee-Marie

I am late to this thread as I've been off Rosity for a week or so, but I have appreciated your leadership and your commitment and help in bringing my artwork to the magazine, and the amount of work it takes to pull off such a major task. I am sorry that health has forced the issue, but you will definitely be remembered as someone who helped keep it on a steady course. I do hope the rigors of health issues subsides for you and you are able to enjoy a happy and healthy life as you deserve. ShadowWind

While we all understand, it is in no small way that you will be missed, by the team, by the merchants, by the writers. We wish you well, and hope that you can still find ways to contribute, and be a part without affecting your recovery! Leo

Dee-Marie, you were the one who recruited me to the magazine. I'm glad you are looking after yourself and I'm sad to see you make this change. I hope we see you from time to time because you are a wonderful cheerleader for the gang and know full well how to keep us motivated and going with a great deal of delight. Your hard work has made this magazine what it is and given direction and vision to where it is going. I cannot immagine what the mag would be like if there was no Dee-Marie in the forging of such a great work.
