Subject: Vue d'Esprit Tutorials?

Good morning all. :) (unless of course it's NOT morning where you are, then I guess I'd say Good evening, or...) Anyway, I know at least a few of you, Varian, Guitta, Bloodsong, Michael Wagner, Crescent have Vue tutorials on your websites. I'm sorry for those I've failed to mention, but It's really difficult for me to keep up with all of this. :( Well, in the Tutorials selection of the Features menu at the right, we have a slot for Vue tutorials, but it only has one in it right now, a transparency tutorial by Red Dog, which, by the way, is very good. I was just looking into it, and it's simply a matter of supplying a URL to your website, and does not involve actually uploading html pages or pdf documents, so, assuming your tutorial pages have links to "Home" at your site, it wouldn't be like you would be keeping people from seeing your entire site. :) So, what I'm saying is it would be nice if some (or all!) of you would be willing to upload your URL to the tutorials section here. You get to title it, of course, choose a platform, and a level, i.e, Beginner, etc. I've been going through the tutorials as a whole, and I've noticed there are quite a few dead links, presumably from the recent shake up here, although it's better now, since Rcook has been trying to clean the dead links up. So what I'm saying is we could proudly boast to have a tutorial section full of living, breathing links to some really great stuff! If there's anyone who would like to contribute his/her tutorial URL's to the Vue Tutorial section, I would be very happy, and, well, it would make us ALL look better. :) So, please upload your URL's, if you can. Or, if you're pressed for time, and don't want to take the time to do it, but want to anyway, you can give me permission, the names of your tutorials, and your site URL, and I'll do it for you. :) Thanks! Mike

Excellent idea Mike....I would love to see some tutorial links from our members. :-) We have some of the best artists and conceptualists from the net in this forum. Please share your knowledge and your craft with us and at the same time showcase more of your works. I LOVE seeing them g Sacred

I'd be happy to, Mike. Give me a few moments to find this area...hehe! :) Varian

Okay, I found it and did the deed. Now, how about performing some of your magic and getting them to change all that "Vue" to "Vue d'Esprit"? ;) Also, how come all the tutorial pages (including the introduction page) say POSER?

MikeJ ( ) posted Sat, 04 November 2000 at 10:15 AM

Varian, Thank you (see new message!) I'll do that. I was going to ask them to change it, but I figured I'd wait, but what the hell, I'll do it now. :) I noticed the introduction, too, and wondered the same thing, so I'll mention that too. Watch for updates! Thanks again. We ALL benefit from your hard work and dedication to not only Vue, but graphic art as a whole. :) Cheers, Mike

Hey, Rcook has "waved the magic wand", and it is done. Not only has the "Vue" name in the tutorials section been changed to "Vue d'Esprit", but the whole tutorial section is now called "Digital Arts Tutorials"... or something like that (also my idea, BTW :) ). Cheers, Mike
