I think this is my best hair yet, I tried to make it as realistic as I could. It also has 5 morphs to add versatility. 4 textures included also. It is on sale 20% for one week, as an introductory sale! I might add a David version as a bonus in the future.

Tried to buy this but after putting in CC info, got a funny page that reads something to the effect of : Warning, division by zero in - then gives a folder name, ends with "line 159". Glitch? I know my card is good. Looks good by the way. Larry F

Larry F ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 3:55 AM

It also says, among other things, "Downlinks will expire in 5 hours" and "Do not refresh this page." Do not wish to refresh, as may get charged twice. Advice? Thanks. Larry F

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 4:12 AM

Hi Larry, Yes it must be a glitch with our CC processor, because they haven't registered your purchase...So when you came to the download page, there was no item to download. You can try again later, and in the unlikely event that they will charge you twice, ofcourse we will issue you a refund.

Larry F ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 4:14 AM

Hey thanks, Figured some such, as I got no purchasing confirming e-mail. Will try later. Larry F

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 5:38 AM

No need to try again, seems they registered it now. I sent you a PM.

Larry F ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 5:44 AM

Thank you so much. I got it already. Will "fool with it later." Time for beddy bye. Thanks again. Replied to your PM. You're the best! Larry F

DC - Can you tell me how large the download is ? thanks, Andrew

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 9:29 AM

Hi, The zipfile is 5.4MB

XENOPHONZ ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 10:22 AM

The hair looks great.... Is the clown makeup a requirement for using this hair?

Something To Do At 3:00AM

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 10:58 AM

Yes, it is! You must not use it without it, under any circumstances, or there will be trouble....big trouble.

XENOPHONZ ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 11:13 AM

or there will be trouble....big trouble.

I suspected as much.

It looks like some sort of a conspiracy is afoot here.

Soon, we'll all be wearing clown makeup. Ackkkk!

Seriously, the hair looks fantastic. I'll probably buy it. We need more good hair models for Mike 3.

Crescent ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 11:31 AM

Could we see a few renders on a non-clown face? I can't get a good feel for how the hair would look on regular Mike. Thanks!

"I might add a David version as a bonus in the future." I will buy it if you do.

I guess I overdid it a bit with the clown? :) Well, here are two pics with a normal, boring face hehe..

DigitalVixxen ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 12:42 PM

David version.. david version... please please please!!!!

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 1:26 PM

hmmm.....so I take it then you want a David version? :) Ok, I'll get started on it tomorrow or the day after that. Shouldn't take me longer than a day. David version will be posted on Polymage as a bonus. You will be able to download if you have purchased this hair.

Staby ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 1:41 PM

Another very good hair style. Thank you for providin some much needed "normal" hair for the male characters. I got the Short Hair and the Grease Hair too and it would be nice to have a David version for them too since I use David as the default male now...

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 5:01 PM

I didn't think there was this much interest for David adaptations. I will add these versions as bonuses, also for my Elvis Hair, and Short Hair. I'll make them all this week.

DigitalVixxen ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 7:32 PM

No interest in David?!?!? David is my default male as well. He's so much better than M3 in many ways. I just can't believe more people haven't already begun using him. I'd never go back to M3 or M2.

mathman ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 7:54 PM

DC, there is a lot of interest in David. many people have said that he is the best model to come out from DAZ yet. I'm looking forward to the David fit for this hair, which incidentally looks great on M3.

sandoppe ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 9:05 PM

I agree about David. I don't understand why more people aren't creating more clothing and hair for him. It's always a bonus when David is added.

Carcinogen ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 9:13 PM

Please keep making normal hair for Mike and David. It is such a gap in the market. I have been griping about that forever now. Thanks so much, DC. I love this one. I also got your Elvis hair. Keep up the good work! Tim

Another question: Any problems with the hair in P5 using the Firefly renderer?

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 9:28 PM

Nope, that's what was used in these renders:-) In fact it looks best rendered with firefly. I also wrote the settings I used for the renders in the readme file. Thanks for the encouragement, I may do some more hair for the male figures, just not sure what style. Also I'm getting a bit tired of hair now, want to move on to something else, for a bit anyway.

mathman ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 10:22 PM

DC --- Any chance of upgrading the DC Short Hair ? ... To be honest, I was quite disappointed with it. Mainly from the point of view that it looked a bit too clumpy (if that's a word) for hair. Also, the lack of morphs and MAT poses. It would have been good to have (for example) a coarse and fine transmap option to make the hair look less or more wispy. Also a couple of morphs would not have gone astray. Having had that gripe, may I say that your new Casual Hair looks totally brilliant (much better than the DC Short Hair). I did a few quick renders with it this morning, and it came out looking really good. regards, Andrew

sandoppe ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 10:39 PM

Thanks DC.....purchased the hair and all Elle's stuff tonight :) I couldn't pass up the sale and have wanted Elle for some time. The hair looks great! Will play tomorrow.....glad you use P5! :) Hopefully you will post a "bonus" David hair for this item! :)

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Tue, 03 August 2004 at 10:51 PM

"Hopefully you will post a "bonus" David hair for this item!" Consider it a promise :) mathman, I might add those things you mentioned. I really only thought of making it the style you often see for short hair like that, where the strands are "melted" together so to speak. Not sure how to add morphs to it as the geometry is very basic, it's sort of a scalp really. It wouldn't look too good. But I think I will do another transmap, to thin in out a bit in places. Or perhaps two, one to make it look like thin and long strands, and one sort of skinhead type look.

mathman ( ) posted Wed, 04 August 2004 at 12:31 AM

DC, thanks a lot. That sounds really good :) .... ... and thanks for being so responsive.

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Mon, 09 August 2004 at 7:44 PM

Hi nemesis, can you email me at mihai@polymage.com with your customer username (nick) and the email you used when you purchased the hair? Thanks.

mathman ( ) posted Mon, 09 August 2004 at 8:34 PM

DC, Are you still considering doing those transmaps for the original DC hair ? ... regards, Andrew

DigiCalimero ( ) posted Mon, 09 August 2004 at 9:24 PM

Hi, Yes sure, I will do those as well and offer them as freebies. Just have a rather urgent problem with our CC processor right now and I have to fix it ASAP.
