Jen and I arrived on the sunny west coast yesterday. Our adventure started by meeting the band "War" on the plane flight from Nashville to Los Angeles. Great group of musicians, I must say. Then we had a miraculous drive from the airport to the hotel (meaning it was a miracle we survived the amazing driver tricks at high-speeds and lots of weaving and honking). We knew we were really in LA, as we drove to the convention center and saw a "movie in the making" along the way. We got our badges and after taking care of business, took a trip to see the stars on Hollywood Blvd, and the infamous Graman's Chinese Theater. Ah...the fun of being a tourist! We even saw many famous characters like Catwoman, Spiderman, Zoro, Jimmy Hendrix, Spiderman (There was an abundance of Spidermen ;-) We bought some cool souvenirs and made our way back to the hotel after becoming real familiar with the transit system. Today, the adventure continued...we saw all sorts of new and emerging technologies, and "swam" in a vitual ocean. We saw the art exhibit, and some great animations, and met lots of awesome people...way cool stuff! We even got to see Ryan Church from Lucasfilm demostrate how he uses Corel Painter. It was very impressive. To top of the day, we continued our enjoyment of the transit system and went to China Town and El Pueblo Historic Park. Wow, some very interesting sites and sounds, and smells! I believe tomorrow will be filled with lots more excitement and interesting sites and sounds as well. We'll keep you posted on the continuing adventures of Jen and Lil, and all the cool stuff coming to you from Siggraph. Thanks for the cool pics AgentSmith! That was in the hallway of the Art Gallery section. If you walked up to it and waved your hand in front of one of those medical looking setups, a sensor would change pressure in the thing, causing water to drip out of the front, and in the specific one I tried, the water would hit a metal pan, in which the drippping sound had a microphone on it and it was amplified, thus scaring the bejesus out of me. I'm assuming the others drip water, eventually, slowly deystroying the sand molds. I'm defintely going back to this guy and take better pics, lol. AS

Wow! Clint was not kidding when he said that the Siggraph Exhibition was like Los Vegas meets technology on steroids ;-) Absolutely amazing! We saw lots of incredible and cool things today and met such dynamic people. I'm still giddy from the day, which ended with the last part of the Electronic Theater. My hats off (and jaw dropped) to those creative minds that made the animations. Stunning work! Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Best wishes, LillianH Renderosity Marketing & Promotions

Back from the adventure! Just got to say Clint, Tim, that Lilian, Jenyk, spike and AgentSmith, get all 5 Star awards from me. Could'nt ask for a more professional group of folks. Just superb! And the show, oh yeah, the show was just amazing. If you want to get the high tech junkies, Siggraphs is an absolute must see. Outstanding!!! Chris and Cassie~
Hey there guys (Chris and Cassie)! Yeah that animation show was the best!!!! Thanks for hanging out with us staff for that little while. ;o) Varian, the suspended dude sure is VR. You "swim" in the ocean. They rig you up, weights are on your limbs, and the goggles simulate you head being at water level. You can stare straight down, bring your head up out of the water, etc, etc. This Siggraph is SO much more than just Exhibition! AS

Another incredible day at Siggraph. I had the privilage of participating in the time honored tradition of the "running of the bulls". No wait, that was the mad dash to the Pixar booth for their free poster! What an experience. Luckily no one was harmed and I emerged with a prized poster in hand. Jen and I continued to work our way through the booths, wide-eyed and curious, looking at all the new stuff and meeting with everyone. Had dinner with several R'osity folks. Then went to the Siggraph reception. Came back to the hotel and soaked my feet ;-) Tomorrow it's time for us to go home. What an adventure! We should have more pictures to share coming soon. All the best, LillianH Renderosity Marketing & Promotions
