This is the original message I posted on the front page. I was very frustrated when I posted it so forgive me if it seems a little harsh. I am just sick of seeing all the cool pictures in the gallery and not being able to contribute. Russel told me to repost it here hoping that someone else has had this same problem with the site so, here it is in all its rage :( "I can not upload my damn pictures at all!!! If the website doesnt respond after I finish the form, it will just give me a form validation error. I used Adobe to convert my images to JPEG and the settings are correct (800 x 1032 - well within the '100 to 4000' perameter)! I am using an up-to-date I.E. browser and my machine is not a Mac! I feel left out on this site; only being able to comment on someone elses art but never being able to display my own! This is bullshit. I am frustrated and tierd. I want a solution or I am out of here. If you think I am out of line then you try working your tail off to impress artists like wyrmmaster and remc just to be rejected EVERYTIME you try to upload. I think my art is good but, how can I know if I can't get it posted for general critisism. Your response will indicate just how valued I am here, but then, who the hell am I, right?" Thanks, Doran

I don't have an immediate answer for you. But maybe someone here has had the same problem and has found a solution. If you get an error message, please post it here. That might help me find out why you are getting that error.

Use another app to convert to JPEG, some PS images get rejected...dunno why.

I've been using simply Microsoft Photo Editor, which is a component of Microsoft Office (I think-- I really don't understand the relationship), and is on the Word 2000 CD. As far as simple editing goes; resizing, converting, etc., it's never let me down, but it's not very useful as a means for touching up. I use Painter 6 for that, always saving everything as .bmp and then using Photo Editor to convert to .jpg. Microsoft Paint might be a viable alternative after you finish up in Adobe. Give it a try! Just a bit of advice: Never throw in the towel (unless you're throwing it into a washing machine...) - otherwise, how will THEY be able to pick you up when the Vogons come to demolish the planet?

Hmmm... I use Photoshop for all of my image handleing, even after doing post work in Painter, and I've never had a problem uploading jpg's saved from it to here. Might try unchecking the little box for saving a thumbnail with the file... I have some people say that that can cause upload problems as a lot of web apps cant read the .psd thumbnail info. I usually leave it off as a default, so I can't say from my own experience.

Which version of PS? I think 5.5 might be a problem.

Hmmmm... could be. I'm still using 4.0, it soes everything I need it to. I've heard from friends that they've had some problems with PS 5.0 and 5.5 on various things... don't remember the details.

Hey all, my picture uploaded and is in the poser gallery. After all of the trouble I had getting it to work, it just doesn't seem as nice as when I first rendered it but, you be the Judges. Thanks to everyone of you for your advice on this matter. If I have seemed to be a Jerk lately it is because of things like this upload problem. Murphys Law has been in full swing lately and it has taken its toll but, with my first picture uploaded, things might start getting better. Forgive me for my attitude and thanks to all; especialy Mjustmike for his advice which brought a quick solution to the problem.
