Mine used to be bad. I even had RSI for a while. Even now my shoulder gives me aches and pains. I like to think of it as a sports injury. I have a gel filled mousepad now and it's worked wonders. Still get shoulder problems, probably bad posture. I should have listened to my mum. Can't tell you what she said though, cause I never listened.

I have a glove designed for my mouse hand, boy, does it save on wrist strain and the pad means no callous on the heal of my hand, it's like floating on air...

You have got to be kidding me... If your computers are giving you health problems, you need to go outside more :P Contrary to common belief, that green stuff outside called "Nature" is NOT out to get you. I'm kidding, i love you guys.

I've got a red area, but only because I keep the heel of my palm on the edge of the table. :-)

I have to disagree with Slakker. I went outside for a walk the other day (after spending hours looking at a blank Bryce screen waiting for inspiration). Quite happily walking through the park, by the river and see some nice looking trees to photograph. SO wander through and get spider webs in my mouth and a spider on my arm. I brush it off and continue and then hear cicadas all around me so decide it's not a good idea to walk under the trees. So I walk by the river instead. Sit on the bench and feel an itch on my hand and there's a mossie the size of my car chomping into me. I decide it's time to go home. Get home and within 10 minutes I have bites and stings and rashes come up on my arms and legs and I'm congested and have to take an extra Benadryl to calm it down. So.... Nature is well and truly out to get me.

LMAO what the heck is a "mossie"??? I can't figure that one out. Cicadas won't hurt you but they sure might scare the pants off of you if you're not familiar with them. They are quite large. Why did you have your mouth open, can't get spider webs in your mouth if its shut. I grew up near woods so I know all about these things. Have you met up with any burdocks, hitchhikers or burrs yet? (Hitchhikers are little weed seeds that look like a scarey little bug and they attach themselves most noticable to white socks.) I'm not sure I know what the plant looks like but I always know after I get home that I've come across one. The round burdocks are the worst when they get in long hair or fur, like cats and dogs. Sorry about your allergy to nature. oh and yes I looked at my palm but since I'm at work it doesn't look too bad. And I definately get the shoulder pain.

Mossie = Mosquito. My wife has a go at me for calling them mossie's, since she says it sounds cute and they aren't. Not seen much else, apart from huge spiders. Not seen a cicada yet. But they sure do make a lot of noise. I thought they were supposed to be asleep by now.

G'day all being an Aussie, I thought this may an appropriate time to delurk & say hi. I can confirm that yes we do call them mozzies over here. But as far as bloodsuckers go its the leeches that really bug me (groan ... sorry about the bug me!). Attached is a topical WIP , suggestions welcome ( I know it doesn't have wings yet). cheers James

I am impervious to red palms/thumbs, and sore hands and wrists.

I am the one that inflicts the damage to the mouse, not vice-versa....
