Subject: Newbie needs help on exporting Bryce creation to .3ds format

Hi, I'm new to Bryce and would like to export the tree/rock/etc that I have created in Bryce to .3ds format, but the File-->Export Object option is grayed out and File-->Export image doesn't give a .3ds format, only bmp, tiff, psd. Anyone can teach me how to export it? Thanx in advance!

Sorry to tell ya this, but so far , Bryce does not support export into any other format except it's own (terrains can be exported in couple of them, but that's about that)... :( Let's hope in next version this issue is going to be addressed ! )

ooppss no wonder, means my trees can't be exported in 3D, boo hoo. And I was hoping for a quick fix. Guess I gotta create the trees from scratch in 3ds then. :(

You can always try a different tree/plant gen app Princess, such as xFrog etc.

----------

Toolset: Blender, GIMP, Indigo Render, LuxRender, TopMod, Knotplot, Ivy Gen, Plant Studio.

You can also export rocks. I think it's the simplest way to create them with Bryce. But you'll have to subdivide or smooth them with another 3d software.
