I've just posted the first version of some Horns in the PoserProps section. This Prop contains both the left and right horns, plus a Thickness morphing dial. This is my first attempt at creating a Poser useable Prop using DMesh, so any comments would be appreciated. I've only recently begun using Poser, so here's hoping I've done it all properly :) The source DMesh models are also available if you wish to modify the horns, recreate the props, or add additional morph targets. You can visit the main site at: http://meshtools3d.bizland.com or go directly to the Poser page at: http://meshtools3d.bizland.com/upzr.htm Bruce

Very Nice thanks and is this done like the dragon body Tutorial ?

Ummm... Now that you mention it, pretty much exactly the same! I used the bending routines instead of curvature, but I wouldn't wish trying to figure that out on anybody at the moment :) I think it would be nicer to make a multi-part one like a tail, and then you could use the Poser bending stuff to curve it around how you wanted. A bit out of my reach of my ability at the moment though :) Hey! I thought you said you didn't read that documentation stuff :) Bruce

Well you, (and everybody else who was kind enough to say the same,) are very welcome! More to come pretty shortly. In fact it's up already, but don't tell anybody :) http://meshtools3d.bizland.com/pzprops.htm I'm just having a TERRIBLE time getting consistent download access to the site, and much to my amazment, (and after a long email conversation,) I've been informed they don't actually support zip files! Go figure! But just for the kind comments from all of you, here's a sneak preview. I'll make an official posting once the dl thing gets sorted out, but in the meantime time it's a bit of a hit and miss proposition. So don't tell to many people ok :) Bruce

Oops, sorry. I had no idea Bizland didn't support zip files, it isn't stated anywhere on the site. -JH.

Well, it's an ongoing discussion :) Apparently now they do, and that had something to do with embedded mp3's. So not sure if maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyways, I'm going to revise the links to point back at my old site until the whole situation get's cleared up. They are quite quick at replying, so hopefully the underlying problem will be solved shortly, but in the meantime I'll use the older site for any direct links.

JeffH ( ) posted Mon, 06 November 2000 at 12:24 PM

The links on your old geocities site didn't load at all ;-)

dke ( ) posted Mon, 06 November 2000 at 12:45 PM

?Which ones? I just uploaded and tested the new/upcoming Poser stuff 20 minutes ago and everything worked. Then I changed the zip links on the Bizland site to point to the old one, and that worked as well. Unless you mean the links to the What'sNew and Poser sections don't exist there, which they don't :) Use the BizLand site for browsing, but when you click on one the Prop zips, it will get it from Geocities instead. but this is the 'unlinked' Poser page at GeoCities that is basically the updated layout that I will post to the BizLand site once things get straightened out. http://www.geocities.com/dke01/upzr.htm Boy. This is getting to be a real soap opera :) Can't even GIVE things away without someone turning on the fan :) Bruce

I got the geocities links to work if I let their "Unavailable" page load then re-load the zip url into the browser window and click enter. Most people have to do that from the FreeStuff pages as well. Yahoo doesn't like remote linking. I don't see what the big deal is, your files are not very big, the bandwidth is minimal. That "share" server of theirs doesn't work at all when I try it. -JH.

Which Browser? I'm using Netscape and never noticed this. At first I thought maybe it let because I was still logged in from uploading, but tried them all again and never got anything similar. I found out one of the BizLand things was because of limited support for GetRight and GoZilla. Bruce

Ah. I changed the link and see what you mean. At least that's a little better than a 404 message. If people are accustomed to that, then maybe I should leave it. Strange it worked directly from the Preview screen, but maybe I just got lucky.
