Zhukov, Try this site: http://www.e-onsoftware.com Look through the "Picture Of The Day" galleries. They also have a free demo which will allow you to save renders, though no larger than 640x480, and it times out after 30 days. After Poser 4, I consider it (Vue d'Esprit 3.1) to be my second smartest purchase. Cheers, MikeAttached Link: http://www.multimania.com/arte/indexeng.html
I will tell you what is Vue d'Esprit : I fell in love with it right after it was first released. But version 3.1, the current version, is far ahead of the first shareware release of Vue d'Esprit, a product that at version 1 already had a lot of many, happy users. And with the release of Vue 3.1, you have a 3D application that doesn't disappoint in its power and ease of use. Although originally created as a landscape generator, you will soon discover that Vue d'Esprit can render much more than only landscapes. It is only limited by your imagination. And it's very easy to use ! But let's speak about landscapes and the absolutely realistic vegetation in Vue. What is amazing is that even seen from close up, it looks realistic. This is the greatest strength of Vue. Vegetation is created with a single click, and each plant created is unique, with each new plant of the same species appearing totally different from the previous one. e-on software calls this feature SolidGrowth, its unique technology for "growing" trees, and includes 18 3D trees in the SolidGrowth format. More are available for free or for a charge through the e-on's secure server. It is also possible to create your own plants as well. But Vue does more than just vegetation! It also contains powerful editors that let you create gorgeous atmospheres, clouds, terrains, water surfaces. Vue includes over 100 preset atmospheres (including animated ones), 16 geological effects and 70 different cloud shapes. Other atmosperes, created by users, are downloadable for free. And lets not forget the lights!! With the use of very natural outdoor lights, your landscapes become truly photorealistic. New, shadowless lights permits you to play with special effects. Blurred effects (illusion of movement in a still image) can be applied to all objects. But that's not all. I have only touched the surface of what Vue can do. Superb renders with soft shadows or blurred reflections. Vue's DynamicMotion technology allows you to animate any scene - clouds, water, objects - and to create realistic looking professional videos. It supports file import in DXF, Wavefront OBJ, and 3DS formats. e-on software doesn't appear to let its employees sleep. They are very responsive with timely fixes and updates, some of which, like version 3.1, was available as a free download. Version 3.1 added significant, new features in addition to the obligatory fixes. I shouldn't say it, but the quality of this software is much higher than its price! You can buy it by phone or direct order through the e-on software website, or through e-on's distributors and resellers in Europe. They have offices in Paris, France and Beaverton, Oregon, USA. It retails for around $189. Tutorials and help for beginners are available for free.Guitta, are you SURE you don't work for E-on? LOL Great answer... if this and the demo doesn't sell Zhukov on Vue, nothing will. Zhukov, If you get the demo, make sure you check out the tutorials for Vue, right here at Renderosity in the tutorials section, which can be found in the menu at the upper right of your screen under the category of "Features". Then navigate to the selection, "Vue" (We still don't have a "d'Esprit" there yet). Cheers, Mike
WOW! I was particularly impressed with the stated ability to import models with textures on them. I have the Demo and will imstall it as soon as i have time to play around with what seems to be a good solution for my problems (plantary creation ones , anyway, hehe) Can i do the following? 1)Create models in Carrara 2)export them to Vue 3) Animate them with textures intact? 4) Render an awesome short movie. I think Carrara supports 3DS format, not sure if its with textures or not. Can I create space scenes, like a planet viewed from orbit? if you can answer these questions and any others that you think are relevant, I would be highly appreciative. I does look like I will be $200 poorer
but one great app richer. Qapla, Zhukov
1 and 2. Carrara : Yes, if you export in DXF, Wavefront OBJ or 3ds. UV mapping stays intact with *.OBJ import to Vue, but there are many kinds of 3Ds formats, sometime the automated texture import works, sometimes not. 3. Of course, the textures stays intact in animations. Only if YOU want, you also can animate the textures! 4. Yes, yes, yes !

Hello, I am trying to get a 3d clue. I dont know what Vue is or what its used for. If you could post a synopsis and hopefully some screenshots of the interface, I would be mighty appreciative. Thanks, Z
