Yikes... Well, 'tropical storm' (or possibly just rain..) charley will be at my door in a little bit. I'll tell you how our meeting goes; but it will probably just be boring dribble..

I live on the coast, 40 mile north of where this storm hit. We came out all right, but Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Rotonda is left in shambles. PS... anybody who plans to go to the Ringling School of Art and Design, may have to endure one of these storms.

...gazing over to pakled from our mountaintop here in NC... Well, HERE... in our maintain hideout.. we had SUN. We have from slam dunk witnesses in FL (our neighbour)... that we have two trees down in our yard, but our house is still standing. All friends, and their finger and toes are accounted for, - and that's the main thing!! :) Britt (sitting on Sheepback mountain, with a nice fire going... in the fireplace, that is)

Well, I survived Charley. All we lost were three storm shutters (a lot of good they did). Many of the homes in my neighborhood were leveled. As in "Not there anymore". I consider my self very lucky, and now that power is back on, very happy. By the way I live in North Fort Myers, very close to Punta Gorda (which is almost not there anymore either).

Spoke to my cousin in Orlando last night and they haven't got electric power up yet but everyone is well which is most important.

Marko: Glad to see you're still with us....it's really not a joking matter when Big Mama decides to clean house.
