Sorry; I mistakenly posted this in the Poser forum. I didn't realize that was a no-no :-O.

I just wanted to drop a preview of the model I'm preparing for sale, my first. It's called the Dart (the "Chrysler" name and badge will, of course, not be included in the final model), and it's a 2-passenger sport shuttle. The images here were rendered in Lightwave (my development program) and Bryce; I have a couple of test renders of the components currently exported to OBJ format that I'll post if anyone is interested. The doors will open, the seats will be adjustable, as will the control yoke in the center console. I'm open to suggestions for additional features, as I want this model to be well worth the buyer's investment; I've already received suggestions for an entry step and more opening panels.

I'm also looking for about 10 folks interested in beta testing the model over the next couple of weeks; I should have the first version ready to test around Aug. 1. Anyone interested in preparing textures either for sale or for free is also welcome to contact me :-) (I know there are folks here who are much better at that than I am, and I'm more than willing to provide a "canvas.")

Thanks for looking! :-D

Looks great, it would make a fine addition to the available scifi craft fleet. Maybe it needs a grab rail or some foldout steps to make it easy to get into. Also a 4 seater version would be good as well.

I'm trying to design a step for the Dart that will either fold or slide out of the bodywork; the space is pretty tight, at the moment, but I have a couple ideas :-). As for extra seats, I may include a couple of jump seats - as separate smart props - for the extra space in the back of the compartment, which will allow the user to choose 2- or 4-seat configurations.

Here is the first render of the Dart in Poser with the entry step in place. At this point, the model hasn't become a posable figure yet, but it's much closer, thanks to some excellent beta testers, whose input has greatly improved the mesh of the original model, and who also contributed greatly to the design and function of the steps (it may seem like a small thing, but believe me, it makes a huge difference ;-) )

The ship is looking good.

Almost there ... mesh is stable, and MAT files are well underway :-D

Just a thought, a mat for a "police" vehicle would be nice. However as it stands at the moment it looks excellent.

Actually, I was just experimenting with one last night :-). Rest assured, the long arm of the law will not be ignored.

And here is the first draft of the SFPD (Sci-Fi Police Department) patrol cruiser ... the lights on the wings worked out pretty conveniently as the 'light bar' :-D. I also decided to give the officers "blue blocker" windows instead of the standard green tint. (The fuzziness of the image is from the compression; the texture is much sharper than this)

Hey! I like it, and the "light bar" does work out well. big grin PS: Thanks for the favourite artist link, I appreciate it. Richard

Success!! The DART is now available in the Renderosity Marketplace! Let's see that fleet start coming together :-) In this image, the missiles are JHoagland's Dragonfly missiles; I just thought they looked good slung under the Dart's wings. They don't come with the model, although the gun pods do ...

In light of the imagination and popularity of *Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow*, I've created a complete, hi-rez texture set for the DART, which makes it fit in stylistically with the heroic and exciting imagery of the serials, and the retrofuturistic technology of the classic sci-fi novels and pulps. Now the DART is not only *Star Trek*, but also *Flash Gordon* and *Buck Rogers*! I'm also offering this new texture set to celebrate the enormous accomplishments of the Mojave Aerospace team and everyone involved with the Ansari X-Prize in breaking the barriers of space for the common man, and bringing the excitement back to space :-D.
