That when you hold the spacebar, you can drag the menus around?

Mrdodobird ( ) posted Thu, 19 August 2004 at 12:23 AM

WHOA!!!! TOO WEIRD! I'm gonna have to totally mess around with this, man! Thanks!

IndigoSplash ( ) posted Thu, 19 August 2004 at 12:35 AM

Yeah...but how do you make it stay that way for the next time you open Bryce? That's what I wanna know. ;)

oooohhhhh....tha's cool! and if you drag the 'create' menu up you can have it and the 'edit' menu at the same time. and here's something I've just found out, that you all prob'ly know already - if you hold the spacebar and drag in the work window you can move the view around :o| I've always hated having to use that little hand down in the righthand corner, now it turns out I never needed to!

And here's another thing I've just discovered - if you click Alt and the colour-square at the bottom when you're setting a 'family colour' you can set the colour using sliders. Could be useful to make colours ultra-pale if you have loads of booleans, when it starts getting very confusing. Maybe everyone but El Dopo knew that already??

cough yeah, those are pretty old :)

I'm excited! Moved them around, moved them back. Now I'm bored again. NEXT! (Oh, and saving default.br5 might fix the positions?)

Does anyone know how to trash the default colorbar and have the custom one always come up?

GROINGRINDER ( ) posted Thu, 19 August 2004 at 12:06 PM

Wow I am stoked!! This is so cool.

GROINGRINDER ( ) posted Thu, 19 August 2004 at 12:14 PM

The space bar trick also works in the nanoprevue window.

xenic101 ( ) posted Thu, 19 August 2004 at 11:32 PM

But all you can do is put them over the workspace. If you could drag them to a second monitor and maximize the workspace... Tried the other day, to make the workspace full screen. It just wont expand into the paletts area. Sorry bout the punctuation.

danamo ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 12:38 AM

@xenic101- I load my shotgun full of punctuation marks and fire them at the paper, or screen, when I am done writing. Whatever sticks, works LOL.

A panda walked into a cafe. He ordered a sandwich, ate it, then pulled out a gun and shot the waiter. Why? groaned the injured man. The panda shrugged, tossed him a badly punctuated wildlife manual and walked out. And sure enough, when the waiter consulted the book, he found an explanation. Panda, ran the entry for his assailant. Large black and white mammal native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves.

Can you believe someone has become a millionaire from writing a book based on that joke?

You actually should be able to drag all these toolbars over to a second monitor, that's why they made this. But, I believ re-sizing the document will make it snap back to default, or something like that. I've not been able to do it, but have heard from others who have. But, no I don't believe there is a way to make it stay through shut-down restart of the program .;o( AS

@drawbridgep Hey, don't knock it! It's a great book. Or maybe I'm just weird enough to think so ;)

drawbridgep ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 11:50 AM

I worked in a tiny bookshop over christmas and we sold over 700 copies. So must be a great book (just wish I'd written it)
