Jim, What plans might be in the works for fashions for the Girl? Personally, I'm a bit Vickied out and find the Girl to be an interesting diversion. I'd like to see pumps and some dresses in your classic style. Thanks, DB

I'm working on some as we speak. I not going to rush them but they should be ready in the next month or so.

I've got another set coming up next week, pretty cute I thought... I'm also thinking about doing a mermaid version of her, I might sell that one to DAz so they can put it up $1.99 in the Platinum Club, what do you think of that plan? I was also (this actully came to me yesterday, honest shazz501) thinking of doing a free upgrade for the Daylife Shoe set, at least. I've been thinking about giving her a version of the Skinsuits too, with a Si-Fi outerspace theme, as soon as I can confirm nobody else at DAZ is doing one. I intend to have all the Skinsuits interchangeable and include parts for the other sets too, so she would also be a Superhero and a Racer, and GV and IV would get the outer-space stuff as required in the Girl's set. I've also started on a copy of both the Cheongsam and the french Maid set, but to be perfectly honest it is EXTREAMLY had to set up skirsts for the Girl, because of the way she is rigged. So much to do, so little time! (I hope this isn't going to get this thread moved to Product Showcase, I was asked, after all!)

"extreamly had" should read "extreamly HARD" ;-)

nimbvs ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 2:05 PM

PLease tell me you are including morphs in your sets - they al look fantastic, but without morphs you are stuck with baseline characters.

genny ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 2:22 PM

Funny you should mention the "shoes".....I purchased the "Resort" pack simply because I wanted the shoes! LOL! Of course I like the rest of the set...I just had to have those shoes!!! An upgrade for the Daylife Shoe set would be great too........and a Freebie would be fantastic! I was once a real shoe person in my younger years...but now I leave the High heels to my poser gals....the thought of having to wear them again myself....Just makes me cringe!

We bow humbly before Jim Burton he makes all our xyz-woman look good... 1) Daylife upgrade would be great 2) An Essentials would be nice too 3) Your cheongsam/maid outfits would be great. 4) and after two images mucking with the V3 mertail to make images a mertail would be wonderful. Keep up the awesome work...

Thanks Guys! One thing I like about the Girl is she doesn't come with 10,000 morphs that you have to match, as she is about right stock... ;-) So I match the "small breast" morph and do one for nipple size (the original beta had that morph on as default, incidently), that is pretty much about it. I match my included leg morphs for the jumpsuit shown, which replace the Girl's thin knee and ankle stock morphs anyway, I guess I should have a morph for stock legs, though. Anyway, the Girl has problems with heels too, as you can see...

Hey Jim... Are you going to update your old hair styles to fit the girl? LV, Sassy2, etc... Thx.

Jim Burton ( ) posted Fri, 20 August 2004 at 7:05 PM ยท edited Fri, 20 August 2004 at 7:06 PM

You might notice the French Maid Girl is wearing the Las Vegas hair, above...

Actually, I worked out a whole new system for conforming hair, that will even let it be fitted to Mike 3 (who gives problmes with the old system), but I was sorta waiting to introduce it with a new hair set I've been working on, which isn't quite done. When that comes out there will be a free upgrades for all my conforming hair (it can use the same OBJ files) to it (the new system, that is), and FIT poses to fit all known figures, even the Girl.

So much to do, and so little time... ;-)

You are a Diety of Poserdom...Will crawl back into my cave and await new toys... :)

Thank you for the quick update. The small breast was the one I was looking for (to use in negative values!). I notice you modeled the stretchy lines around the chest which makes the clothes look more like cloth than spandex - looks great. I look forward to the availability of the sets.

AmbientShade ( ) posted Sat, 21 August 2004 at 12:44 AM

Is there a male character to compliment the girl? Wouldn't it be fitting for her to have a boyfriend, or at least a father? ;-) (why does she remind me of the style used for 'the living dead girls' - often found in hot topic shops?)

AmbientShade ( ) posted Sat, 21 August 2004 at 12:46 AM

duh. correction. I meant brother. Don't know why I said father.

BekaVal ( ) posted Sat, 21 August 2004 at 6:44 AM

Love the set of post no. 6! She definitely needs more shoes, as in high heels. Am tempted to buy the resorts collection mainly because of the shoes in it - like Genny.

Here is a shot of the leg morphs I did for the Girl, stock on the right. You can see what it takes to get het into a nice pair of shoes! ;-) I don't know if there will ever be a "Boy" to go with the Girl, but it would seem logical.

BekaVal ( ) posted Mon, 23 August 2004 at 3:29 AM

These smaller feet that you morphed, become her very well! Her original feet and hands seem a bit to big compared to the rest of her body.

I commented on that in the Beta stage, but apparently Kim wanted them that way. So I thoght "O.K., but when I fit up shoes for her..." ;-) The Mermaid Girl has a way to go yet, but you can get an idea what she will look like in this. I do all my mermaids with vestigial feet, as you can see, as that is part of my theory on how they evolved.

BekaVal ( ) posted Mon, 23 August 2004 at 1:38 PM

Maybe the hand and feet ratio was intentional to make her look a bit clumsy as in cute. Which has its right of course. But I think smaller, more mature looking feet match her pin-up appearance much better. Pin-ups is what I want do with her anyway. The mertail looks great, Jim! Looking forward to it. I find the vestigial feet are a very adequate conception for it. Love mermaids and already planned to make a MerGirl image (for my Thetis works).

meselfr ( ) posted Mon, 23 August 2004 at 5:22 PM

The mertail does look good... Cannot wait until it's out...
