Couple of things you can try: a. These primitives may already be part of a group. Sounds silly I know, but when the screen is just one big ol' wireframe nightmare, it's pretty easy to lose sight of where one group ends and the next begins. Try selecting both unruly primitives, then hitting the tab key. Do Macs have a tab key? Anyways, if they are part of a group, the entire group will become selected. Troubleshoot from there. b. Failing step a, select the primitives in question, hit control-x (or whatever the Mac alternative is to Edit->Cut) Macs... pfft....;) Then paste the suckers back in and group 'em. That should fix things. Of course, if they are part of a group and you cut them, paste them and group them into their own gig, any boolean operation that was in effect will be lost, which can open up a whole new can of nightcrawlers. :) Hope this helps.
Try taking them into the solo mode. Sometimes taking them there will clear things up. First thing tho, click on groups and see what you have there. Did you give your groups descriptive names? That makes things easier also. Sorry, I'm not good at doing screen shots so if any of this doesn't make sense maybe you could ask for a screen shot of what I'm talking about. HTH
Easier way to ungroup them is to select them, hit 'U'. If the g appears then they were part of a group.

OK, thanks for all the info. Here's the weird part. When I view the full wireframe its OK. However, in solo mode, the booleans don't render the way they should (ie, they render as individual primitives). I'll continue working on it, as if everything's fine. Seeing as I can't trust what I'm seeing in solo mode. Bandolin

I've been building in Bryce on my Mac G4 in OS X panther, and have created a bunch of booleans. Everything's been going peachy for the past couple of days, until now. I had a few booleans that worked yesterday, but have now magically ungrouped themselves and are refusing to be grouped again (ie. when you select the two primitives, the G button doesn't appear). I double checked their attributes and one is pos and the other neg. Has anyone else had this problem? Bandolin
