Did you actually put it in the fridge? Condensation will kill you. I was working on a way to refrigerate a motherboard using a mini fridge, but the only method was to vacuum seal a bag over it in an extermely dry room... It worked but it wasn't practical.. to say the least. The electrical bills were higher than buying a new processor.
I did actually put it in the fridge, but not for too long... just long enough to cool it off. My fridge runs off of propane, it doesnt appear to have any condensation inside, but I cant find anything on the Internet about it. Dont call the laptop police on me... I dont want to be charged with laptop abuse and neglect!
lol, Well it's not the condensation inside of the fridge. When you open and close the door humid air gets into your refrigerator/freezer, the fridge cools it down and it condenses ontop of the nearest surfaces. The air inside of the laptop condenses on all of the parts IN the laptop. It's not really a problem short term but after a while things get dense. Like when you pull a bottle of water out of the refrigerator it feels clammy on the outside. This isn't really a problem if oyu live in an EXTREMELY dry climate. But, still.
DRY ICE, anybody?

...sitting solo on a mountain with scarce space in the freezer. Albeit.. decided to so some heavy duty inspections on that darned server hubby left - as he is touching base in Atlanta for his job.... Hmm... mabee if I uninstalled that SQL-thingy (unuseless, anyho'.... and then made this sucker the bryce-motherboard..... Hm.... might work.... I don't think that company - far away in Atlanta would mind anything... would they?
The Crisper drawer? It's for veggies, so they don't get soggy and gross before you get to eat them! As an interesting side-point, my fridge has Beverage Shelves, on which air is blown in from the Freezer to make your favorite summer-time beverages extra-cold! Plus it's got one of those ice dispenser dealies...how cool is that?!?

Am i the only insane person here who will keep on the air con day and nite while rendering?? My bedroom becomes icy cold..but will suffer for a render. Also..have to face dust probs here.. lots of it esp during the non-monsoon months.. so the maids and i have the insane task of keeping my bedroom dust free. Terrible while rendering since I can't shut the lid of the laptop... it hybernates. jsg, love the image..pretty illustrative. try selling it off to one of those news mags.. they'll buy. :-)
Slakker... that must be VERY cool... Hmm... considering we're talking about a fridge.... :P My fridge is OLD with a freezer on top... and I think I've got a better shot with that SQL box upstairs.... jason.... calling you from the smokey mountains... and this is a RAIN-forest... and definately not dry!

trying to kill your lap top isnt very nice...but if your determind to doso heres some ideas: make an image as complex as you can possibly think of with lots an lots of meat balls, make each one a defrent texture set wall after wall of duplicats behind it set render to highest levels and hit go while running out the door to dive onto the lawn and behind lawn chair, car, stormshelter, or what ever you think will handle the blast...after ward tell insurence company you have no idea what happend (other wise you may have a big repair bill on your hands) lol
