A satellite shot of the "sunshine" state with hurricane Francis makes a direct hit. It's 9:30am CST here, and this was taken about 30 minutes ago.

I've been with out power most of this morning and I live further north on the coast of Florida about 140 miles north of the storm. We are just getting a taste of what the storm can do. I hope those members that live closer to the storm are doing ok. I'm planning to go out to the beach in St Augistine later today around high tide. I want to make some comparison photos if I can find some good landmarks. Randy

Those storms are always great photo ops as long as you don't get blown away, or get your camera wet. Hope you post some.

just heard from Nilla... she's been up a ways, staying in a KOA campground, on her way back now... hoping her family, friends & home will be alright

This is across the street from my house. We all got together and cut the tree up and got off the house. I will post more later we just got power back, but this is crazy stuff for being well away from the storm's center. Randy

Ivans just around the corner, It'll give us just enough time to get all of the power back on and then the next ones here..
