I saw that and was really surprised! The closeup around the eyes on the head texture didn't look as detailed as the things you make. I hope they have taken it down now.

Ah, a trademark violation, possible Robinson-Patman act (darn, I've mispelled that, glad I had it right for finals) and a DTPA violation for sure ... but probably not copyright. May be criminal fraud as well, for whatever it is worth, but not copyright.

If they are selling her files in the package, it sure as heck IS copyright infringement.

But they were just using her name and selling total crap. So, they should go to jail, be subject to punative fines and various statutory and common law damages, and in a fairer world be drawn and quartered, but for their real sins. If the stuff is actually theirs, then copyright too. Hope they get more than they deserve to serve as a cautionary warning to others.

From Vali's post, the impression that I got was that they were doing business as her (identity theft) and reselling her product under her name (copyright infringement/fraud). The poroduct in question does not seem to be there at this time..unless someone can post a link?

It is the second time when something like this is happening to me, but this time is even worst, because the person also stolen my name ! The admins checked the IP address and they found out that the person is from Germany. They make sure justice will be made ! I am so messed up right now, because I am afraid that this impostor sells my products on other sites, so please if you see any of my products in other market than renderosity, let me know imediately ! Ugh, that is awful that someone in this community is so completely without morals, and would hurt a fellow artist like that. I'm glad the products were removed and the person is being reprimanded, hopefully it involves covering them in extra sticky bandaids and then slowly peeling them off one by one... mwahaha! Vali, you have so many loyal customers and fans here (including me) that I'm sure someone would contact you immediately if this happens anywhere else. I really hope you don't have to go through this again though, its horrible to see bad things happen to good people. :( - Molly

I can only imagine how awful it would feel to have someone impersonating you. Selling your work is bad enough, but pretending to be you?! shudder That's truly awful. I hope they get to the bottom of this. bonni
