Hi all, I am trying to create a wav file to use in MimicPro from this site, but can't seem to figure out how to "save" it. I have done it before.....I think?...but now......I am at a total lost? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (: Using Microsoft XP if that make any difference?

Hm.... I just tried it, and then looked in all the old familiar places where such a thing might be deposited. (Including the browser cache). No wavs. You might try this trick: Start your built-in Windows sound recorder (I think it's Soundrec32.exe) before you activate the text-to-speech. Stop it after the sound is done. If your sound system is set in the usual way, the Soundrec will pick up anything that goes through the speakers while it's recording.

Thanks ockham, I will try that later when I have a chance. Right now, I have my baby grand-daugher in my arms and it makes it a little difficult to type. LOL! To 4140HT: I did try the "Save Target AS" and it just wants to save the html of the page.......not the wav file? Thank you for your suggestion....but I don't think that will work? (:

Hi Genny! I just checked the download wav file option under the output section. When I then clicked on the speak button, it brought up a new page to play it in a quicktime movie thingy. If you do a right click and then select save as source, it will let you select where you want to save the wav file at. Lonni :)

Are there wav files here? Where? Just the other day, I was wishing there was a free stuff section for sound effects and music loops. Melanie

Melanie - When Genny said "this site". (I'm pretty sure) she was referring to the URL she provided, NOT Renderosity!
That URL allows one to enter text, and have it output in different voices/accents. - Ray

LOL! Ray is correct, I did not mean Renerosity, I meant Rehetorical's site....thanks for clearing that up. (: And thanks to everyone for your help, I had to re-set my Windows media and I was able to get it to save...Finally!

OK, thanks. I still think a sound section here in Renderosity would be well worth it, though. Melanie

To Melanie: There is some music and sound effects, here but they are on the "Renderosity" magazine (on-line) site. (: Not a whole lot there yet, but it's a beginning.

Thanks, Genny. I'll check it out. Melanie
