I've started making a new Bryce picture today. Gonna be a coffee shop, but you'll only see it in the reflection of the espresso machine. So modeling the espresso machine seemed the best place to start. Modelled just with primitives and a terrain for the drip tray. Might share it in free stuff when I'm finished.

(The cups are there to help me scale it, but I'll make better ones for the final.)

Yeah, I'm becoming American. I wake up now and think of coffee rather than tea. I think of biscuits as cookies and scones as biscuits. And I don't find it totally strange anymore to put egg, bacon, and pancakes with syrup all on one plate.

So is this modeled off of a picture? I'd like to know what those thin metal things coming off the side are. I've never gotten a good look at an espresso machine, lol, I drink instant coffee.

Those are for steaming milk into foam... can't have a cappaccino without foam! Excellent model!

Very good model - and for a reference photo of a BIG expresso machine, take a look at the one used by the town major in the movie "Dante's Peak" :)

I only have a little one too. But my wife is really getting to grips with it and is so good with it now, that I can't tell the difference between her and the professionals and it's a lot cheaper.

It's pretty cool for any sort of model... i.e. it's excellent. I don't come by here much any more, but every time I do, your work just keeps looking better and better.

Last time I was in the UK, there were more coffee drinkers than tea tottlers. Love to know how you made the terrain drip tray.

This is a reduced sized version of the image I used to create the drip tray. I created it in photoshop at 5000x3000. Assigned to a terrain, reduced in height a bit and give it a metal texture.

wow! thats a great bit of bryce moddeling, looks great, you could convert another brit to coffee if you carry on like this! (he says drinking his tea after just coming in from the pub!)lol

NIIIIICCCCEEE!!!! not much of a coffee guynever even seen one of those machines but....I like it, I like it. (as da mouth starts ta waterin at the thought of caffine, oooaaaahggghhhhhh, drip drip)
