Very cool. I recognize the Mk-80 series with the Snakeye kit and the AAMRAM, but what are the oh so pointy thingies outboard? I think on your excellent F-16 they're called rockets - which kind?

Many thanks and excellent work. You've done a F-18, a F-16 and now the F-15, is there any change of an A-10 Warthog? Or perhaps a Harrier 2?

As of now William I am working on the F-14. Still lots to do with the texture and especially the cockpit area. Not much on making poseable props so I am making two sets of wings for the F-14 as you see in the pictures. Just make one or the other invisible depending on which set of wings you want. As for the A-10 and the Harrier, I have given this some thought. Dutchman.

Classic F-4 Phantom anyone?

F-4 Phantom sound great... and maybe SAAB 39 Gripen....

What I want is a "fairly" detailed cockpit model for one or more of these jets. Preferably an F-16. I really just need the front console though. :(

Charlie_Tuna ( ) posted Thu, 16 September 2004 at 1:27 AM

the wingtip missles should be the AIM9 Sidewinder

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

That seems to be a common configuration though in pics, it's usually the F-16 that has them on the wingtips and more often underwing on the F-15 as here. These obviously aren't AIM-9s though. I think they're just generic or something I'm not familiar with.

Hopefully, Dutchman won't mind me rearming the F-16. I found a Sidewinder - at 3DCafe I think. I hadn't done a closeup render before. These really are very nice models. Thanks again Dutchman!

I am glad you like the model. Maybe I should have used the proper missile because I have the sidewinder. Never gave much thought as to use the proper missiles on the plane. You have a good point though. If you are going for detail the bombs, missiles and rockets are important. Dutchman

I'm sure only the military aircraft buffs will notice :-) Ironically, that one item stood out as being a bit odd only because everything else looks so good!
