Hi!!

Wasn't sure where else to pose this question but, all of the sudden, when I am browsing a certain gallery...like "Bryce" for example, and I leave a comment, then click on "back to gallery", it does not take me back to the Bryce gallery, but to the "what's new" gallery...

How come?

Before when I was in a certain gallery, it was much easier to click "back to gallery" and be back to the same gallery page you were browsing.

Now, every time you leave one comment in any one particular gallery, you have to be taken back to the "what's new" page, and click on the gallery you wanted to be in all over again.

BIG TIME inconvenience, especially on dial up.

Is this a permanent change or just a temporary glitch?

If it's someone's idea of a new change, in my opinion, it's not a good one ... NO OFFENSE!!

It makes it MUCH harder to stay in the gallery you wanted to be in. I like to browse gallery by gallery, not everything new that's been posted....

thanks,

LFNForever Oh yes, while I'm here, I have tried twice to reset my homepage gallery images, but it just doesn't work. I click on the thing that says "manage home page images", (or whatever), then it gives you a list and says to check three. I checked three, but when I went back to my homepage to check it out, it's still the three old ones, so how can I make this function work???

I hope this is fixed soon..it is annoying to say the least.

A tip that might help, especially on dialup: When I'm browsing a gallery, any image I want to see in full I open to a new page. I can view the image, make a comment, vote on it, or just keep it open to look back at a second time, whatever. When I'm ready to move on, I still have the gallery of thumbnails handy, still in the same place where I left off - and it doesn't need to reload.

LFNForever ( ) posted Fri, 17 September 2004 at 8:49 PM

I understand that "it's happening in all the galleries", and it's not because I'm on dial up. Just yesterday I was able to go to a gallery, click on a thumbnail, leave a comment, then click on the "back to gallery" link, and be on the same page of the same gallery I was in. Now today, ALL OF THE SUDDEN, once I leave a comment and click "back to gallery", instead of taking me back to the gallery I was in before, it takes me back to the "what's new" gallery page...and then in order to get BACK to the gallery I was and wanted to stay in, I have to select it and click "apply" all over again....Makes it take ten times longer now..... My question is, was this change intentional? If so, does it have to stay that way? Would someone who is able PLEASE change that back to the way it worked before???

Yes, thanks for the response and action taken in fixing this "problem". Perhaps they were trying a new style of things, but when you're in a particular gallery, (as I like to do), I like to stay in just that gallery until I'm finished, then move onto another....it's much easier and much faster. I/you can leave MANY more comments the old way..just for further reiteration...

How soon will this be fixed???? I'm an impatient sort ;)

Djeser ( ) posted Sun, 19 September 2004 at 2:45 AM

I get this: http://www.renderosity.com/gallery.ez???? when clicking on the "Back to the Gallery" link. And it still goes back to the general "All" gallery page. This is a hassle on dialup.

I thought I did something weird to my computer. This has happen to me too. yesterday and today. A big pain in the butt.

The strange thing it only happens after I leave a comment. If I hit back to gallery w/out commenting I end back at the correct spot, otherwise back to main page. This is really annoying...I don't have the patience or the time to keep doing this ~eye roll~. So apologies go out to all those pics I don't comment on, even though I'd like too. Unitl this is solved comments will be VERY limited :(

A temporary workaround: leave a comment, press [Back] on your browser toolbar twice, that'll leave you in the same spot in the gallery. Not very elegant, but it works.

TY svdl :)

I've been having to use the back arrow to get back to the gallery too - of course the drawback to this method is that it doesn't automatically refresh the page in the way the "back to gallery" button does so you have to do that as well or you'll just get the original number of hits and comments displayed until you leave the gallery page! Not an improvement at all - I hope it's a temporary glitch
