While scanning through my Poser CDs, I ran across a figure I made over a year ago. It's fully posable and includes textures. Just seeing if anyone would be interested in having it. If so, I'll UL to the Fun Stuff Pages. DavidH

Looks cool. I'm sure that many more than I will be interested.

That's very cool! I'd like to get that!

OK, I created a quick web page to download the figure, since NBCI doesn't allow image linking. http://members.nbci.com/dh_designs/downloads/parasite.html DavidH NOTE: This is the same figure that was originally included with the Assasin 5 figure, it hasn't been altered, so if you got it way back when, well, this is the same file.

Looks like some of Davo's critters - that's a GOOD thing! :-)

I downloaded the parasite file, but Poser says it can't find the Geometries file for parasite.obj even though it's listed in the Geometries folder. Also tried downloading it again in case the file was corrupt upon the first download, but can't connect to the url you gave. Suggestions for resolving either of these problems, please?

Hi, Terry. I also had the same problem as you. I took the liberty of tweaking budgie's Parasite so it works. I'm not sure what the problem was... I gather that since this figure was made by budgie quite some time ago, I thought it was a .cr2 version problem. But I'm not so sure about that now, as I had to re-write the .obj file. Now it works and it retains budgie's original UV co-ords so the original textures work on it. Hope this helps out... You can download it here: Nuke

Thanks Nuke for fixing the problem with the figure. I did recieve Terry's message the other day, messed with the files myself but didn't come to any solutions. The only thing I can think of was that the file may have been corrupted somehow in converting it into PC format. Since I created this figure on a Mac, I had to run it through a converter to change formats. I don't recall if I used Martin's Maconverter (an older version) or with applescripts. In any case, thanks for the fix. And Nuke, you have all the permission I can muster in uploading it to the Fun Stuff pages. Thanks DavidH

Yes, Nuke, please post it on the Fun Stuff pages because I have tried downloading from your URL many times without success. (The download always terminates prematurely.)

David: You're welcome! Great work on the figure and texture! :) Was looking into doing a parasitic creature myself at some point. Terry: All the URLs on the Fun Stuff pages all point to off-site web sites. Renderosity doesn't store any of the Fun Stuff files locally, on its own servers. It's up to the posters to find and provide web space for Renderosity's files. The URL I posted points to my @home server page and will be the same URL that will be used for the repost--- sorry, I haven't set up any alternate web space yet. If you still have problems downloading from them, private message your e-mail addy to me and I'll send it direct. Nuke
