I had been wondering when the next generation full frame DSLR would pop up, although I must say I didnt expect 16.7MP That is huge. No one can really compete with that. And the 1Ds is quite old now in digital terms. Its a brick at 1.2 kilo plus an L series lens that will make it 3.5k plus (photographers will need a caddy) waaaaaaaaaay beyond most peoples reach anyway By the time I have saved enough for one they will b a tenner on eBay (many years from now)

As history has shown, as soon as one company introduces something new, the other drops a bigger bombshell on us. Canon makes 300D, Nikon introduces the D70, Canon the 1D Mk II, Nikon counters with the new D2x and so days later, Canon drops the 1DS Mark II on us. Oh my.-=>Donald
