Does anyone know if there is a software package available that will reduce the polygon count of a given mesh. I seem to remember hearing something about this feature but I cannot remember where. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's a program called Decimator out there, I don't recall the URL. The program isn't shareware or freeware, but it comes with pretty good recommendation.
