Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
Yes, you're correct. If a character was built with separate OBJ, the PZ3 will follow its lead, and leave the OBJ separate. If a prop or figure was built with self-contained OBJ information (rare for figures, fairly common for props) the PZ3 will follow the pattern and contain the OBJ data.

In Poser, from the menu bar; File > Open, brows to the location of the pz3 and open it. Geometry can be stored either internally or externally in poser library files, it depends on how they were made. Maps, texturemaps, transmaps, etc, can't be stored internally, but other material settings such as colour are.
Okay, I downloaded the new file and checked it. Unlike the original file, it's not zipped with the proper paths included, so you have to place all the files manually. And the CR2 and OBJ seem to have been left out.
Why don't you IM Tygercub and tell her that the file she uploaded is incomplete? She probably doesn't know.
Okay, I threw the file together thinking it would work for folks. Sorry for the mess up. I'm going to pull it again until I can pack the zip with the full files, but please be patient. I've several things going on right now and don't know when I can get back to the pony. I'll post again when it's done.

Does a pz3 file contain all the information necessary to open a character? I downloaded TygerCub's TOON PONY. I would just love to play with this pony, but I can't open the pz3 file :(. The zip did not contain a runtime (only a .pz3 file) and PPP and P5 throws up a window saying the .obj can't be found. So, that tells me the obj isn't in the pz3 file. Am I correct?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks in advance! :)
