Thorne placed a request for this 3d model. It's the Auryn seal from "Neverending Story." This is just a prelim render with a quicky test texture. The model needs further modifications and a custom texture will be built from the ground up. Please feel free to comment! I'm a rank amateur modeller and any input is welcome. Nuke

You may not be able to tell but the Auryn above was rendered at an angle so it looks a bit squished. :-) Here's a full frontal image that reveals a little about the construction method. Nuke

Looks Good :) If I remember correctly there was one gold and one silver snake right? It does look a little flat however, I think the real thing was pretty life-like. -Colt

That looks really cool! Please share when you finish this. I loved the Neverending Story. visualkinetics

Yup, I plan on making it less flat, giving it a bit more thickness--- probably double-siding it so it can be used as jewelry or something... I'll upload it here as soon as I'm finished--- probably within the next day or so. Nuke

If this works, here is an image of the Auryn used in the movie. Of course, the book describes the snakes as forming a circle -- not intertwined. But it's hard to shake the Hollywood image. :) Varian -- Poser Playtime http://www.varian.net/dreamview/dreamtools/poser/
