Brenda Hope all goes well for you down there. We have been very lucky in Jacksonville so far. The last one (Frances) shut us down at work for a week no power or phones but no damage to our house . This looks different this time. We are staying, my wife works at a hospital so she can't leave and we are not going to leave her. Let see bottled water, lots of canned food, camp stove, candles, batteries, and on and on. This is the third time in 6 weeks we have had to do this. Good Luck!! Randy
Jeanne's eye is now predicted to come on shore at about midnight about thirty miles or less south of here, she has been gaining strength and will continue to do so until the eye hits. Yesterday they said she would be a category three and today they are saying she will be a category four! :-S Should you want to see what a category four hurricane can do, google images of Hurricane Hugo, he hit North Carolina back in 1989. It is raining sideways here right now, and we are getting gusts of wind of about 60mph, just the feeder bands... I will check in every now and then as long as I still have the power and phone line to do so. Think it would be kind of neat to keep a diary of this experience... The cam isn't going outside, cause it isn't geting wet, it is staying with me!!! Hope to see you all soon! Hugs! Brenda

The east coast of Central Florida is officially under a hurricane warning again, this time from Hurricane Jeanne. Not sure when I will be back, this baby is looking like she is going to be a wee bit stronger then Hurricane Frances that hit us two weeks ago. Frances was a category two hurricane and it looks like Jeanne will be a category three! I have decided to stay here through this one, after all the panhandle just got slammed by Ivan last week, and the southwest coast by Charley about a month ago. Daddy is in the hospital, so I have decided I am not going anywhere! Should you send me a text message (via Nextel), please don't worry if I don't respond right away, The Nextel towers were out for a bit after Frances and I am pretty sure they will be again. I will respond to you all, as soon as I can. Will bring you some more storm images when I can get back online, gee I could write a book! ;) We don't run from hurricanes here, we drink them!!! Brenda :)
