Subject: Texture imports question

I'm using Painter 3D to try to make some new textures, but although I know you can import a texture map, I don't know if it's possible to import images to use as bump maps, reflection maps, etc. Each preset has three "windows", the first with the colors/image and the third with black and white images to use for bump (and other) maps. When I import an image to use as a texture, the second and third windows are always blank. Does anyone know more and could you tell me? (I have Bryce 3D)

You can. If you have the first picture loaded in then what you can do is click on the second dot on the top of the box. It sould be sort of rose colored. You then get the second screen which you should see your texture in the first square. You can then load in the black and white one for a bump map or transmap. You can even get full color if you use multiple materials on the different channels. Good luck and hope that helps some

these two buttons, the bottom button places you into Picture Mode, and the top button opens the Pict editor so you can load you texture, bump and transmaps
