CAn someone help me? I have kpt 3 that I am using with another application and I would like it to be available from the filters pulldown in photoshop. I moved the folder into the photoshop plugins directory but it dosent show up on the menu as a choice. Kpt 6 works fine but kpt 3 is missing in action. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thank you.

Dont ask me why this is because it,s a while since I installed it,but on checking I find that KPT5 & KPT6 have sub folders within the Plug-in Folder called KPT5 & KPT6.However KPT3 lives in a sub folder called simply "Plugins"(all one word)within the main Plug-In Folder. There is no sub folder within this called KPT3,just the relivant files & yet it shows up fine as KPT3 on my filters list right ahead of the other two.As I say why it,s set up like this is now a mystery to me,but all the KPT filters (3,5,&6) are working fine.

KPT and Kai's power goo have a bug that affects Photoshop. here's what you have to do. Unsinstall kpt 3 and 6, and then photoshop, then reinstall in this order and only in this order: Photoshop kpt3 kpt6 that should cure your ailment man, Voodoo

I don't think you have to reinstall everything but if you installed KPT 3 for use with a program other than Photoshop you should reinstall it instead of just moving the folder for use with Photoshop. Hope this helps. Jade

There are changes made to the windows registry when you install KPT. Just copying over the plugins does not mean Photoshop will read them in. Also Some versions of KPT are only compatible with some versions of photoshop.

I don't know about ver 6 but in ver 5.5 you can just move the kpt directory into PS's plugin directory and it will work just fine. This is true of most, but not all, plugin filters. However, PS's plugin menu has limited space. If you have too many plugins installed the last few just won't show up in the menu (I can't remember the actual limit- 11?). But they will probably show up under "Other" on the filter menu. I should mention that I'm on Windows. I have no idea if this is also true for the Mac.

I'm not too bright right now. If too many filters is indeed your problem you would probably like a solution. Go to this adress: http://www.icnet.de/ and take a look at plug-in manager. Not free but worthwhile (but I think they offer a lesser free version as well).
