Subject: Clearing morphs from a .cr2? is there a utility for this or is it built into P5

In tutorials for creating conforming clothing, they talk about clearing the morphs from your chosen .cr2 - is this a feature found in poser or is there another program we should use? How do I find all the morphs without using a program?

Hi, there is a tool named: Morph Manager (i'm not sure, where you can download it, but it's freeware). You have to load in the .cr2 - and the you can delete the morphchannels and save as a new named .cr2. Hope, anyone knows a link... Regards

You can also do it within Poser using the Hierarchy Window. Select the "Show all Parameters" option. Then click on one you do not want and hit the delete key.

Morph Manager is at http://www.morphography.uk.vu/dlutility.html

In Poser 5 it's also built in at each morph. Click the little arrow to the right of the morph in the dials and you get options such as to delete or split the morhs. Nice and handy :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

In the past, some generous people have shared their "blank" cr2 figures. Ironbear(!?) once offered his blanks in free stuff. Of course he is no longer with us.

It's weird that few people ever mention Daz Dial Cleaner when this topic comes up once per week here. Is there some problem with it?

nickedshield ( ) posted Tue, 28 September 2004 at 12:53 PM

Dail Cleaner dosen't delete anything, it just sets the unused channels to hidden.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Any word on an update to Morphmanager? It's probably the most useful utility out there, but it could use a couple of enhancements.

mateo_sancarlos ( ) posted Tue, 28 September 2004 at 2:40 PM

Whoa! Sets them to hidden? I did not know that. So they would definitely need to use Morph Manager or Maconstructor instead.

I dind't know it either until another member posted that tid-bit.

"In Poser 5 it's also built in at each morph. Click the little arrow to the right of the morph in the dials and you get options such as to delete or split the morhs. Nice and handy :o)" I see that option, but all of them are greyed-out and unavailable. I'd love to be able to delete all the morphs in a character that I'm not using once I'm finished tweeking to reduce file size. And if it's possible to do this in Poser, why have Morph Manager?
