Subject: Creating CR2 characters in Poser

Isn't there a tutorial floating around about creating a character in poser with all the clothing, props, textures, and morphs applied, then saving as a CR2 character so that if you wanted to use the character in another scene, you wouldn't have to reassembly all of the clothing, props, and etc. This would also include poses as well. Could someone let me know? I tried doing this by export my character as an Obj file, but I couldn't do anything with it in another scene except make a statue :)

Which version of Poser are you using? In P4, you can just select the character, then "Add to Library" right in the Character's Library - Poser will then state that the character is part of a group (as long as hair, clothes etc. are assigned to the character) and will ask you if you want to save just the character or the whole group... select whole group then... P5? Have no idea, do not have P5 yet... but I bet there must be a similar function...

Have you read my tutorial "Easy conforming clothes"? I think it be a help. Search in Poser from "pierangelo".

in P5 you just click the plus sign at the bottom of the library pallet, to add the whole figure to the library in the FIGURES menu. It will keep the poses, and if you have hair and clothing conformed to the figure it will ask if you want to add the whole group or just the single figure. simple as that. 8-)

Why dont you just save it a a PZ3 (not to a library) Then Import it back in again when you want to use it. See this thread: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1939849
