This is Ben, he's not really a slave at all, just a prisoner. Nobody knows why he doesn't have any hair, except me, I haven't modeled or posed it yet! I guess I'll have to make him dirty and shaggy, to fit the scene. Anyway, this is mostly a volumetric experiment, any suggestions or ideas about where to go with it would be much appreciated? Thanks for viewing...!

hmmnn....maybe give him hay to sleep on instead of a mattress? Make it more obvious that he's eaten his companion (or maybe it's obvious enough already). Floor dirtier? Bald is good, otherwise you'd have to make his head and beard look like a giant haystack.....oops hold on, maybe that's what his mattress is stuffed with. what's he going to eat now :^(

I love this kinda thing and this is a great example. I think the only things I would do would be in post (desaturate, tweak the contrast etc), but that's just me.

ate his partner??? Yuck! LOL I was just thinking the guards were rude not to remove the bones of the last guy!

SDL, maybe a the silhouette of a small bird standing just outside the window sill signifying the freedom that has been taken away from him? I find these types of scenes to be very poignant.

Aye, Quest, and I have spent all too much time imprisoned, myself. Although, minus the bones, I'll be honest. In America, your cell MIGHT be clean, but that doesn't mean it doesn't stink. I'll make a postwork version and post it, and we'll seeif it's a done deal or not.

** In America, your cell MIGHT be clean, but that doesn't mean it doesn't stink.** Here in Ireland ex-prisoners have formed a group to bring a class action for compensation for having had to 'slop out' :^| The last class action - brought by soldiers for hearing loss - cost the state billions.....

Only two suggestions really.... The texture on the guy looks like ambience is turned up a bit. That foggy glow always distracts me. The other bit is the hand. I find the posing the hands (and eyes when they can be seen) is what makes the difference between looking realistic and looking poser. My opinion of course but I'd say your 96% of the way there with the hand in this one. Cool pic though.

Aye, thanks for your ideas, Claymor. I'll spend some time tweaking the pose and of course, the materials need to be adjusted quite a bit. Hair, and contrast-balance. Maybe some blood, or scars at least.... Thanks, everyone, for checking it out...!
